Not to sound like Mike Francesa but I'm not liking this move for him. Go for the big contract god bless but not thinking this will end well.
Obviously the bigger the $$$$$$'s the bigger the risk, but Moser is a fundamentally sound, high IQ coach, Whether he can recruit at the high-major level is the big Q imo. The key will likely be how adept his recruiting AC's are at the H-M level.
Do you think people told him the same thing about us when he interviewed with us? The only difference is that we don't have football. But replace football with the city itself, the yankees, mets, etc....MarkRedman post=429939 said:Moser had a really good thing going at Loyola
Sometimes the grass isn't greener on the other side
I wish Moser well and hope it turns out to be a good move for him
Oklahoma is a football school and doesn't have a rich basketball tradition
Basketball is third in importance, behind football and spring football
If I were in his shoes, I'm not sure that I would have done it

Was faculty there (Einstein) for more than 10 years. Never knew we had a basketball program.bamafan post=430163 said:Think she is leaning towards Yeshiva.MarkRedman post=430161 said:With Moser leaving Loyola, Sister Jean announced that she is entering the transfer portal

The Yeshiva University Maccabees have been a D3 program for many years
They recently tied for the second longest winning streak in D3 history

She was but found out they didn't have any scholarships left for her
Was like in 6th grade and remember watching an NYU vs LIU game on TV which first turned me on to college basketball.fuchsia post=430180 said:Was at NYU during Hairston/Kramer era. D3 only makes me depressed.

Sounds like he's about to be fired. Names like Tim Miles, John Beilein and Archie Miller are being tossed around as possible replacements. I hope they give Darren Savino, a former St John's assistant coach and the current associate head coach at Cincinnati strong consideration.

Great era in NYC College basketball--the doubleheaders at the "old Garden"--getting in for 50 cents with HS "GO" card. Loved it and they were a dynamic duo!fuchsia post=430180 said:Was at NYU during Hairston/Kramer era. D3 only makes me depressed.
