I think if it were a scandalous non-basketball issue he would have been the only one fired. I think Mack was just pissy about missing tournament and ditched two longtime associates.fordham96 post=426788 said:Sign me up for Murray too. But I would like to know what happened at Louisville.

I think with a multi year deal and likely a hefty severance, at this point Mack has leverage against that kind of thing. He could have dug in and said "These are my guys, which would earn him a lot of respect. But as Moose said...."JohnnyFan post=426812 said:fordham96 post=426804 said:Wrt Murray and Mack maybe on Mack trying to place blame somewhere. Perhaps an AD ultimatum? Louisville not used to falling short of the tournament.
Scapegoats for a bad season, not happy with the recruiting in terms of the kids getting, became stagnate, alot of reasons. Sometimes a coach will shake up the staff. Sometimes it is a final act of desperation (not in this case) and sometimes, there is just a need for a change.L J S A post=426790 said:I think if it were a scandalous non-basketball issue he would have been the only one fired.
