Seemed worse than usual today, which is saying something.
 
Might have had a couple of recruits at the game. Pretty good crowd considering students aren’t due back until tomorrow.

Maybe a touch deceiving as we shot poorly on relatively open shots. Also not having Smith out there didn’t help. Kadary also decided just to score the ball a lot rather than kick out to our backup shooters.

He identified our deficiencies right away. Although it doesn’t take much to see our help D is lacking.

He does a lot of stuff well. He’s got very good vision and awareness. He can shoot inside and pull-up. He’s an average rebounder with potential to be a plus rebounder at the 3. He passes well and can handle the ball a bit.

He needs to back off the 3 point line a little at the top of the key and wings as Crean pointed out, and he has to clean up the shot selection. The quick shots have to stop.

He came in shooting 43.5% from three and played without Deivon. RJ missed him on two wide open looks while RJ was stalled jn the lane and had the defense converged.

Dunlap absolutely does deserve minutes and that’s why he is getting them. Contrary to the prevailing posting here he is a very solid defender, both on his man and helping, hedging and rotating. He is a hustler, a skill the Johnnie’s could use more of. He also constantly moves without the ball and it never sticks in his hand on offense. Bobby Knight used to preach that you want to see a players true worth to a team game, watch him play when the ball is not in his hands. There is way more to the game and a winning team than what shows in a box score.
