Not as long as the President and Counsel are fan boys
Well Matt better get off his radar and sign a center and a strong rebounding forward fast
Don’t expect it to happen quickly as kids in most cases are just starting to take their visits.

Once the finals are over on Monday I expect these visits and commitments to start rolling quickly

Also this has been a dead recruiting week. Sense we have a visit next weekend. We’ll see.

Maybe some of the other coaches should have a list too

Agree but to be fair, Matt seems to do no in game coaching or player development.

We have a flawed staff skill set and responsibility mix.

Cut Matt some slack.
The only in game coaching is done by St. Jean.
Go pick on Mitch, who's useless.

I don't have issue w/ Matt, or St. Jean.

It's all on Mullin. He's the architect of this staff makeup. Richmond should have never bern asked by Mullin, or allowed by AD to slide over from special assistant role to asst coach and still be special assistant

Like all of us, I hope for the best, but have learned to expect the worst. I really hope Chris & staff surprise me and get at least one really good big man for 2018-2019. If not, we will have wasted Shamorie's time here.

Ultimately it comes down to the head of the team to dictate what direction the program takes in regards to recruiting and what type of recruiting and who is having the most influence on the sidelines etc etc

In some cases we probably do give the assistants too much heather things that they shouldn't necessarily control

Was Evan Boudreaux ever considered? Solid PF from Dartmouth that just signed with Purdue. Has 2 years of eligibility left. Scores and rebounds well. Would have been a great addition.

We are going to find out all we need to know over the next few months. Given our current situation, if we don't get an additional guy out on the recruiting trail, this era will end poorly.

I recall that Louie's one piece of advice to Chris was "get good players". No doubt, when you're trying to change a program's fortune, there should be maximum effort in this area.

I am still holding out hope.

No, because Purdue was known to be his destination early

When they start those April AAU events you will see more staff out there, but since season ended we have one guy scrambling to fill current gaps. Matt is clearly the “transfer guy” but it is ridiculous to not devote more resources to the process even to assist him. Our recruiting approach in my opinion just sucks, especially for a program trying to claw way back to respectability.

Mullin made a mistake elevating Mitch with understanding he would recruit minimally. Greg SJ at least breaks his ass coaching, running practices & drills in season with a dab of recruiting now & then.

I would hope CM a guy with GM experience would move Mitch back to the SA spot & get another AC to recruit. I wish I felt confident he will. This has nothing to do with Slice $$ either. It just may be a hard decision CM is having difficulty with. Just my opinion, but do feel better venting about this one man approach. Appreciate Matt working hard, but he is in over his head without solid help.
