Would be insanity to enter the season not adding a big. I can't watch another season of nothing happening under the basket. These guards are great, but can't put lipstick on a pig.

If we don't land someone at least 6'8" and 230 lbs, I am joining the Mike Zaun school of posting.

I hear you JF, but I'm resigned to watching 'shoot the lights out' St. John's hoops. Because, strange & weird & frustrating as it'll be, there's nothing we can do about it...and we're Johnnies fanatics. Just praying it works.

I hear you Chicago. I would be equally understanding if I felt the staff was configured to maximize efficacy and truly grinding.

Alas, I will wait until the roster is set.

Hey, Chicago Days, the last present under our Christmas Tree was the elusive big that disappeared by Valentine's Day. We probably should wait till Halloween this year! :)

Nah....he was a nice pick-up prior to getting hurt. Questions about his ability to compete at this level are related to the injury.

Considering he has been rehabbing over a year already and we are a good 5-6 months out of 1st practice and considering he is 20 years old (?) this can't be good. If true, I feel bad for the kid's misfortune.

Okay!

That is one of the very few cases where that formula led to success last year; however even there, the one big was 7' tall and 280 pounds and one of the "guards" was 6'8". They also had a 6'9" 245 frosh available to spell their big.
