Gonzaga

@AdamZagoria: Steve Lavin says the Johnnies have some "options" for height going forward -- Joey and Adonis De La Rosa, but prefers small lineup for now.

How about these reminders (since the game came down to one possession with under 35 seconds remaining):

Myles Stewart missed an open three and then stared at it while Sabonis ran right past him and finished with an uncontested dunk (five point swing).

Jordan's moronic offensive goal tend on a ball that was already 75% down.

Ouch. That will be the last time either of those guys make that mistake (one would hope).

Yes they do not play smart Not sure if you can teach that

I thought Jordan got foulded late on the right wing drive that they called out of bounds. On the replay you could clearly see his left arm banged by the Zags defender.

Does this mean he knows ADR is coming back this season, I guess so?

Agree 100% usguard. If you weren't going to use him in this game when he could have come in and neutralized Wijilter and Sabonis a little, then when are you going to use him. Especially since he is a stretch 4 and Wijilter like to play outside a little.

Anyway not looking to replace coach Just means it will take the program a little longer to reach their goals Staying with them and considering the way we played is still an improvement

The team is definitely improved and I'm proud of the way the kids played tonight. If Gonzaga was in the Big East they would be the best team in the league. I think this game bodes well for us when it comes to league play.

that grizzly adams guy on gonzaga looked older than me

They claim the other big, Sabonis just turned 18. Probably really was a classmate of Putin. :)

@NYPost_Brazille: No new news on Adonis Delarosa. Holding pattern. Joey Delarosa will be eligible at end of first semester. Not sure exact date. #sjubb

He was absolutely fouled, but I was fine with the no-call. I just can't believe they wouldn't no-call the Harrison play 40 feet from the basket.

They also called a puzzling foul on Greene against Wiltjer at the end when Wiltjer clearly (arm fully extended) was pushing off on Greene to get a rebound on offense.

Why, Few has done an outstanding job at Gonzaga?

A Gonzaga fan at the game was telling me that Sabonis played very well last year in a high european league. Surprisingly we decided that he wanted to play in college as opposed to make $'s in Europe. Gonzaga had recruited him first and very early when every thought he would go pro. Duke, et al came calling and Sabonis stayed loyal and stuck with Gonzaga.

I like Stewart Marillac, he should play over Balamou. He looks like he can shoot.

I like him too and I agree that he should have gotten the minutes over Balamou tonight. It was just a really awful play by him. He is just a freshman, though.

The team played hard from the tap and deserved more fan support on their home court. A few thousand Johnny fans made some noise but way too many stayed home tonight.

I hope to see and hear more support at future games
