Kadary is a liability running the show. He is not presenting as a threat at all. He is loose with the ball and terrible from the line. Need to re-think how to use him, but i'm starting to lose faith. We need to go back to toughness school. We got out-toughed in the 2nd half against baylor, same throughout this game. We lose most of the junk rebounds and loose balls, and get capitalized on. For all the "talent", we are losing on hustle. Also, there is no one on the team i trust at the line. we really need someone to step up or the success we envision for this team will only play out in our imaginations.

He is a jump shot from playing in the NBA
But we do have a disturbing trend of taking players who were very successful at other schools and making them worse.
Not a good look for HOF coach.

Kadary and his foul shooting are indicative of his overall game. Lacks the concentrated effort to put the ball in the basket. It goes to his state if mind during games, whether it be lazy passes, sloppy ball handling, going to the hoop off-balance, etc. Just playing to collect his check but checking out while playing.
Luis has become our go to player and Zuby has become a beast. The new guys who chased the NIL $ to get here are mercenaries who don't give a crap about the name of the front of their jersey.
These are going to be guys that get dropped or traded mid-season in Europe throughout their careers.
NIL deals needs a performance clause to weed out some transient loafers.

Here's a doozy :"He’s a good shooter. If he takes unchallenged shots, he’ll shoot a good percentage, but all his shots were challenged,” the Hall of Fame coach said.

He's referring to Brady Dunlap! So, according to Karnak the Magnificent, expect Brady to shoot ZERO PERCENT if anyone is remotely close to him because he'll force his shot!

I know the loss is tough and a win to cap off this weekend would have been exactly what we needed but we need to stop acting like Georgia is bad. They just took a very competitive Marquette team down to the wire the day before and now Marquette will be top 10 this week.

Because it being on a neutral court, this game will be probably be a Q1 loss or at worse a Q2 loss. That’s not what is going to make or break us come Selection Sunday. Our losses to Michigan and BC last year I think were Q3 and we had no wins against at large teams besides Creighton.

Do well in the Big East and we will make the tournament where anything can happen.
I don’t care that Georgia is not bad or that they were competitive against Marquette. I saw St. John’s play them and the Johnnie’s didn’t compete, as Aaron Scott was forced to admit in the post game. And the coach decided to bench one of his players willing to compete and then BS to the fan base as to why; BS that would make any politician proud because it was said in all seriousness when it was nonsense only a fool would believe.
I judge players and coaches by and large only when I can see them for an extended period and frankly, I am not that impressed with Pitino’s start at SJU. Others may disagree for sure but that is my take. Outside of competitive LOSSES to UConn and Baylor, I don’t see much for him to hang his hat on so far with some disappointing less impressive losses and pretty ragged coaching at times. Almost 40 games into his tenure here I really am hard pressed to point out a HOF coaching “moment” other than getting Mark Pope kick started at Kentucky (sarcasm alert). Although he has created a public profile that would make Steve Lavin proud (more sarcasm).

I actually will give Pitino a pass on that one; very few shooters can hit contested 3’s and IMO all 4 Dunlap took were contested and rushed, bad shots. And I think that was the message sent and hopefully received. Maybe the only time I have seen Dunlap, whom I like a lot more than most here, just not let the game come to him. He has taken bad shots before but not 4 of them in such a short time.

With all due respect to coach, he had at least 4 totally uncontested and wide open shots that he missed, some badly. He has demonstrated that he is not the "dead eye" shooter he was presented to be when brought in here. Time to stop treating him as such since that just leads to empty trips and losses. He should NOT have the green light to shoot at will.

And this is the problem with NIL. We think of these kids as paid employees who should be earning their keep. I willl never look at the college game the same again. Because it is all about the money. And loyalty to school and community is over with. I know there was behind the scenes transactions going on and money was exchanged before. But that was a select few. Now everyone wants cash. And a free college education is laughable to the kids who can play ball.

Agree totally. And the decrease in Wilcher's minutes is worrisome. Down to 23 mpg. He's too good for that. P.S. Stories going around that staff wanted Smith back in and Pitino refused and another story that after landing at the airport, Smith refused to get on the team bus.

Rick needs to set up plays for Dunlap where he would be in a position to have undefended, unrushed shots then he will kill it all day long! He does not shoot well off the dribble! Set up plays where he is free on the wings and he will give you 10-12 pts a game! This entire offense of ours is rush rush rush frankly I can’t stand it!

Wilcher has not done anything to justify more time. He was terrible last three games and he is not a pg. why Smith did not play last half is a mystery to me.
