I’ve been critical of Kadary I felt he’s looked comfortable the last 2 games. I think we take out cheese man Cooley tmrw night and get ready to give his former squad a respectful beating!
We will need to run a 2-big lineup for some stretches to deal with Sorber and Fielder.15 tough minutes from Prey will go a long way.
This will be the Kadary special.
Attack the zone. Get the ball to Kadary at the foul line and let him go to work. Going to have to hit some threes though.Feel like we will be infinitely more prepared for the zone this time around. If I'm Cooley I 100% play it again, but SJU should have no excuse on moving around it much better this go around.
Run a double high post on offense with the two bigs and attack the zone that way. I think Mullin did that one year when we played Syracuse at the Garden one year and it worked well.We will need to run a 2-big lineup for some stretches to deal with Sorber and Fielder.
It's going to be a Battle of the Brute Squads, clearly. Not hugely optimistic about this one, we are going to lose a game sooner or later and this could be that game.
If they run a 2-3 zone at us then to me the game is get the ball to Kadary at the FT line. He can shoot the mid range if they don't come up and dish to Zuby flashing into the lane or RJ cutting to the rim. The only issue with our team is that the other element would be that if the guards come down instead of the bigs coming up then Wilcher and Scott have to hit shots. Which is the part I'm worried about, along with defending both Sorber and Fielder down low without Zuby running into trouble. He will need help.Run a double high post on offense with the two bigs and attack the zone that way. I think Mullin did that one year when we played Syracuse at the Garden one year and it worked well.

All possible except perhaps the "passing the ball" part.“Rick Speak” this week stressed benefit of;
Sim taking threes right outside the college three point line, not pro one - practical and doable
Scott upping his rebounding numbers - doable
RJ learning the value of passing the ball, cutting & trusting teammates to hit him in optimal position for a good shot - suspect he will still prefer to drive into traffic, but hoping he paid attention. We need him to relax, take good shots in flow of game especially v a zone
They didn’t realize the severity of his injury. Means is injured shoulder is worse than expected.why'd he play against seton hall then? I am not blaming rick for that, just confused what the medical staff was doing
I said that also in a previous post. Get the ball to Kadary at the FT line and let him go to work.If they run a 2-3 zone at us then to me the game is get the ball to Kadary at the FT line. Kadary will be bringing the ball up, Scott is the perfect guy to flash to the foul line. Better shooter. I bet Prey could do it too.If they run a 2-3 zone at us then to me the game is get the ball to Kadary at the FT line. Q: What’s wrong?I'll throw in the obligatory snarky comment (no offense intended at you lawmanfan): "Just wait until we throw the Picket Fence play at 'em!"
Give me Lefty or give me death!I wouldn't mind seeing a little more Glover and even some Lefty if Georgetown is zoning us. I'm not sure if we'll get that, but I wouldn't mind it if Pitino went that way. Either way I'm hopeful after the second half against Georgetown at home, we can have a good first half.
Was nice knowing youGive me Lefty or give me death!
