Sim throws some really bad passes sometimes. He has shown growth since last year and think he has taken a step getting to the rim and on D , but the idea of him being the lead PG next year is slightly concerningI don’t think he is close to the weapon at the FT line as Richmond. You would want him on the wings. Sim will have to handle the ball and get it to Richmond a lot.
RJ is the other threat there and that takes away the worst two dribbles that get him into trouble.
Enjoy each win, look at film of the next opponent, when you get out ahead of yourself is when bad things happen.6 road games left against Gtown, Yukon, Nova, DePaul, Butler, Marquette. If you’re looking at 3-3 or 4-2 in that stretch (which would be a great overall road record) you want this one in the win column!
Respect GT, certainly capable of knocking off just about everybody at home. That said, their two stars will likely get their due, but the backcourt as noted above can be exploited. Their second half swoons could be a few things; conditioning, lack of “calming” guards or getting rattled above the norm.
Pitino seems to have this group pulling together on a mission and I think we win a close one. Lastly, playing down there, the environment is not in same class as raucous Marquette, PC, Creighton, X or UConn which is a plus.
Let’s make them crap there vineyard vines and give them no alibi’s for drowning cooks! And the type of crowd who think that
(A) the St. Johns' players' moms and dads work for Georgetown moms and dads and
(B) that not a single St. John's graduate would even sniff getting into Georgetown and
(C) Nantucket is far nicer than Martha's Vineyard and the Hamptons.
Prey would start on Georgetown, says my full head of hairI feel I have a full head of hair. But the mirror says no.
Also if you give RJ the ball at the FT line unless they have Matt A riding on his back like it's a chicken fight and saying "don't drive" in his ear there is no way RJ is taking that shot more than twice as opposed to doing his favorite thing.
Full spectrum of outcomes... love it...I'm going to watch live AND DVR this game, I have a sneaky feeling (i) something good is going to happen, like a complete game romp (ii) something crazy is going to happen, controversy, ejections, fights, or (iii) something bad is going to happen, if so, I can immediately trash it.
In fairness, Pitino himself recently said something along the lines of "wealthy people don't go to St John's." And then Kull made a comment about St John's fans being working class/blue collar -I don't have the exact quote, but it was something like that. Gross generalizations on both accounts, although I know Pitino was trying to make the point that SJU gives underprivileged people a shot in life. And the type of crowd who think that

CRP not sure how long he will be staying but my bet is that he's not going anywhere anytime soon:
In contrast to "wealthy people don't go to St. John's" which Rick did say, "poor people don't go to Georgetown".In fairness, Pitino himself recently said something along the lines of "wealthy people don't go to St John's." While exaggerations, in large part, these statements are both true.
