Georgetown (MSG), Tue., Jan. 14 , 7:30p, PEACOCK

I think that they're susceptible to us turning them over, especially their guards.

I also think we'll be fine up front, and if we get Sorber in foul trouble, then they're cooked.

Overall, this should be a pretty competitive game without our injured guys. But, I think we have more than enough firepower to win, probably by 10 plus, but... The combo of Zuby, RJ, KR and Scott, with contributions from other guys will be more than enough. But, have to show up. GU is better than expected and they're capable of having a good night, so we can't take this for granted.

I think that we will fill the Garden tonight. We are being talked about and written about almost every day. We have the buzz right now.
I had major surgery yesterday so tonight I'm looking forward to watching our guys tonight.
This should be a good game. Cooley is a great coach but so is Rick. I don't we beat the spread but I think that we win.
Hope your surgery was successful and you heal quickly (and the Johnnies make you feel better with a win of course).

Glover's defense looked like it had grown against Providence but took big steps back against Creighton. He really has to focus on that end. I wouldn't be surprised if Lefty plays more than we expect. A sign of trust that Pitino is putting him in, even for very small minutes
Rick was clear the other day that Glover clearly has offensive skills, but there is more to the game than not, especially on D. Hopefully he is watching and absorbing and sees what a guy like Scott brings defensively and embraces those “little things” that win games. Glover has nice potential and like most freshmen stepping up to BE play is in the learning phase and hopefully embraces coaching and peer guidance in that regard.

I am hoping we look back at this in the future as the Wilcher game.
I am hoping we look back at this in the future as the Richmond game.

With no Smith, it puts the rock in his hands like the Seton Hall days, that's where he proved to be an All-American. Now with Zuby and RJ and Sim to help out but allowing him to set the pace and tone, could be the big one we've been waiting for. Steve Masiello praised Kadary for not being selfish or ego driven, but this might be the game where he "goes back to the old him."

Should be a fun one.

I did not get Covid at that March 11, 2020 Georgetown game, but yesterday I did for the first time.

Anybody come down with Covid after attending the cancelled 2020 BE Tournament??
I was at that game. Was eerie for sure. I went to Keen's for dinner before hand and it was a ghost town in there. I was planning on staying for both games and got a hotel room. The whole night was surreal. We were playing poorly then ran away with it in the 2nd half. Word got around that Rudy Gobert got Covid and the world was about to shut down. I stayed for a little of the depaul game and wrote my hotel room off and went back home. I didn't get covid after the tournament but i was very sick after a trip to Malaysia in Dec 2019. I've since gotten covid 3 more times. I'll be there tonight

Why not both? I'd love to see a vintage Kadary game where he's 16/8/6 on efficient shooting, and Sim goes off for his first 20 piece

Wishing you a speedy recovery Greg and hopefully the Johnnies can aide in that with a nice victory for you.

Would love those Kadary numbers and add would like to see him from elbow area in using his strength to bully opposing guards, draw fouls, make short shots or deftly pass inside if help D arises. His unorthodox game may prove troublesome to GT’ less physical guys. I don’t want nor expect him to running point staying 20 feet from basketball often, nor blindly running into traffic. He can be crafty at his best, here’s hoping we see that tonight. Suspect Sim will run a lot of PG tonight w a touch of Lefty as well. Kadary imo is so much better off the ball. On D, I also hope he has a positive “cheating ratio” to help us get some easy buckets.
