Thank god we made up that gap...the way we are playing I'll take being tied at half anyday. With that being said, I don't get it...I really don't so can someone clear this up for me? WHY are our opponents rebounding juggernauts? Or to put it another way, why are we so terrible? Athleticism is our thing, not FGCU's thing. We should be feasting on boards. If Harrison doesn't get going in the 2nd half and we don't start getting stops on D, this game is the one I pick that we drop in the cupcake OOC matchups. Hope to god I'm wrong but we have never even led.

Because Rebounding is about technique and desire. Athleticism plays little if any part of it.

The Gift experiment is old. He tore up OOC play last year. He doesn't deserve this kind of treatment.
 
I think this team needs Gift and Sanchez if possible. This way we have options depending on who we are playing and what type of game it is. I see Gift being very effective for us against a tough banging team like Pitt and Sanchez being effective against a team like a Louisville. But based on how this team has played so far, we at least need a tough defender and rebounder like Gift.

It's getting to the point where you almost want to have walk on tryouts and send out mass emails asking if any SJ students know how to rebound.
 
This game is a loss we have to double their post guys on defense. We cant be doubling their post guys when they have guys on the perimeter who can shoot like this. If we have to double their post there will always be a 3pt shooter open for them. It's embarrassing that none of our post guys can play D on these guys one on one. I don't have a good feeling if that has to continue.

This is going to be the game we lose. Laid an absolute egg so far. Terrible shooting, terrible defense, terrible rebounding, D'Lo a non factor, etc. What a joke. This SJ team cannot put away low mid majors and it's very scary. We are a mess.

Joe, as you get older you will realize you cannot declare a winner in basketball in the first half.
Billy Packer was fired for that in the NCAA finals.
