Fire Lavin just because we lost to DePaul the first time.
And Louie lost to mighty Niagara the season we went to the final four. Should he have been fired because of that one loss? Certainly not and believe me that loss was 10x more shocking that our loss to Depaul this season.
The fact you wrote what I quoted shows you have some sort of agenda or hatred for Coach Lavin.
Personally, I find this topic very distasteful but it is not a violation of forum rules so the thread will stay.
However, I ask that you please be respectful in your posting as we all know Coach is not going to get fired this season as there is no reason to fire him.
You want to say the team underachieved, could play better ball, could have won anywhere from 1-5 more games, I certainly accept such an opinion. But please lets all get off the topic of coach being fired as there is just no merit or substance to such a topic.
I respectfully disagree.
We are on the bubble, back from the dead and will be a 20+ win team and going to a post season tourney not named CBI. When compared to the past 4 coaches and their records over the past 20 years, our wizard should be considered for Big East Coach of the year right behind Jay Wright and Map of Italy. This thread was as premature as my ejaculations.
Look, I get it, everyone is back on the Kool Aid. That said......"Big East Coach Of The Year"? Did I really just read that??? Wow!
Look, this team has had a ton of issues to surmount this year as you well know, yet do not care. Many of those issues we did not know of or the extent of which was affecting our team. No, Lav will not be COY but this team took a lot of work and as much as I enjoy tongue and cheek comments, to even suggest a firing, which I have never supported, is absurd and those like you that voice it here are just not seeing the bigger picture at this stage of the season. Criticism of his coaching is always fair game but few coaches have had to deal with our number of player issues and win 20 games. In the Big East only coach Cooley has come close and he has done a great job. Thank God we are not Kentucky fans with 4 #1 NBA draft picks, the #1 recruiting class and soon to drop out of the top 20. Calipari would be gone after this year. We have only one player close to that level on this team yet sh$t heads like you think we are Kentucky. Give it a rest.
