Well we do. It's not new but thanks to Fun we are 100% positive that Mussini is white.
That's correct. And the very same fans who prayed that Marco and Max rode the pines in favor of thier black teammates, now all of a sudden want Mussini to get more PT because he is white?????. SMFH over the level of utter ridiculousness on this thread.

We have here 18 pages of thread about a marginal basketball player. Let that sink in: 18 pages. There was no 18 page thread last year about Durand Johnson, who's infinitely better at basketball than Missini. There was no 18 page thread about Ron Mvouika, a 40 percent three point shooter last year who's infintely better at basketball than Missini. Why? I think I know. I don't question the motives of every poster who roots for Missini, but only because I know the motives of some of them, so I don't have to ask the question.
You want Missini to succeed because he's a pasean, god bless. Me, I want him to succeed because if he does we do. But since I am not blinded by blood or kinship I don't pretend that he's anything other than what he is. Which is that he's capable - capable - of shooting well from the three point line, and otheriwse he stinks, by every metric by which stink is measured. I spent three years ragging on Phil Greene, who despite the difference in melanin is in fact an apt comparison: he looked better than he was as a shooter and otherwise contributed nothing. No doubt that makes me a racist.
Show me a thread about what a fine representative of the university Durand Johnson was. Show me a thread about how hard Bashir Ahmed plays. Here's a clue: you can't. Missini is not fit to carry Phil Missere's jock and he was a paesan as well. That would perhaps make me a racist, if Italian was a race.
Mussini has become a bit of a fan favorite, for a variety of reasons. We've seen it before with kids of all races and many different ethnicities. It's human nature to root just a little harder for a fan favorite. I did not however see anyone proclaim Mussini the second coming of Ernie D. Many of us still think he can have a useful roll on this team. You are convinced that he's completely useless and should never again see anything more than garbage minutes. Fair arguement. But why the need to inject race?
There is 22 pages of posts on the status of Mussini. I don't think there was that many when 1 of our 2 best players missed 3 games. Can someone rationally explain that?

If we are struggling to score Mussini comes in and hopefully knocks down some shots. If he doesn't he doesn't play. That seems to be what his role is. Not sure why there is any fuss over him otherwise. Hope he is ok health wise but really not a big part of what this program hopes to become.
This team is not dancing, they've beaten one team in the top 100 and that was in a room where with proper fan support they should be able to beat anybody. They are fun to watch but will still likely do worse than many thought in October but better than many, including myself, thought before Syracuse. That said, the recipe for their unlikely ascent to the bubble would not be to slow down to the snails pace Fred has to play at while suffering through his defensive deficiencies. There are 4 other guys on the roster shooting 39% or better from three, which is great to see, and all have length, quickness and athleticism that Fred lacks. 8 mins or so a game for change of pace or foul trouble fill ins should be his limit.
The word on Mussini should be silence so we can end all of this ridiculous bickering of which I have been a part of. Reading Fun's BE Report I was actually encouraged that he wasn't referencing him and then I got toward the end where his obsessing continued. I for one would love for this BS to end already. Maybe lock this thread and if people want to discuss Moose we do it on other threads and I for one will hope to God that Fun doesn't notice.

There will akways be a place on the roster for a guy who can knock down 3s. How much playing time is the question.
Marco and max couldn't deliver in ltd oppotunities. Mussini has.
For a guy who is foreign, a freshman, and never played the point did pretty welllast season. I never saw him get stripped or trapped - most turnovers were on tunnelvision passes. He wore down and lost 15-20 lbs start to finish.
If the backcourt gets better will see less minutes but those guys will have to earn it too.

Ellison is really improving and has nice size. I think Mullin really likes him. Played most minutes yesterday. I think if our other guards are healthy , Mussinis minutes are going to be decreased a lot. IMO he is too much of a liability on defense relative to our other guards and add Simon in the mix for next year.

After a few days of not reading the forum/message board, I thought I would come to this thread to see if Federico's health situation has improved. Clearly a mistake. It's kind of funny/sad to read people complain about this thread being 22+ pages long, but in reality, it's about a page and a half of content related to the original subject.
I hope he's feeling better, but I should wouldn't find that out on this particular thread. He's an asset on this team, and by all accounts a good kid who represents us well on and off the court. So it's a bit puzzling that he's getting trashed on everything from his playing ability to his heritage. Kind of pathetic.
