(EXHIBITION) Towson, Sat., Oct. 18, 2p, ESPN+

Sellers started the second half at point and the lead was built with him in the game.

They treaded water with Darling in the fourth quarter until Towson put on the press.

Eventually Pitino came to half court and hollered at Darling "What the F is wrong with you?". Another listener interpreted it as "Come to the Fing ball or similar.".

Several players just refused to give him the ball late in the game and brought it up themselves.

Bottom line is he looked very bad against a mid major. Absent a huge turnaround I have no idea what he can do against Michigan or a good high major team.

Sellers may be able to manage the point though out of position for him. Maybe Mitchell as point forward. But glaring Achilles heel for this team.
We watched much different games. And you embarrass yourself intimating that other people bringing the ball up against a press when they have an open court to do is an indictment on the point guard.
Not once did another player bring the ball up solo against anything resembling intense pressure.
My last word, we just watched different games.

Sellers to me seemed out of his element. Just didn't want to say because it's preseason

What I saw was Darling being isolated on an Island like Lawman and Marillac about Jenkins and everyone taking away the life rafts

It's way early. Heck Ian didn't wow me but I'm sure he will. This was an excellent pre season learning experience. We are still going to the final 4

Rick might want Sellers at point because without a true PG I don’t see him getting a lot of looks

In the world of wrestling red.fans awaits to see if Lawman's brother who died in a fire rises from the ashes to reunite and create the bothers of lawstruction. Unfortunatelyfor Lawman his brothers name is Lame. :)

I'm happy Rick concluded the press conference by saying Darling is a much better basketball player than what he showed.
Ok We've got DK Lawman Mug and who else in the anti Darling group ?

Let me reword. Darling not good enough

I would hope so. After this performance, that is about the only direction he can go in (unless he stays the same, which would not be good).

I’ve been in the Darling not good enough camp since day one. Not his fault in any way, he was brought in here because the staff whiffed on high-major targets.

Not responding to you just using this as not to open a new thread but the alien group " The others " are saying he's serviceable. Not Kolek

Darling: return to Idaho, do not pass Go, do not collect $200

Staff has a whole lot of work to do between now and next week.

But from a season standpoint their decision to pass on serviceable point guards, swing for the fences and miss on 3 others, and then scramble may haunt them. Do not think this team is close to U Conn for the league title.

Too rough on Darling. We have such a deficit at guard in terms of creating and Darling can definitely do that.

I would agree that we aren’t that close to UConn right now. I don’t even see how we beat Michigan unless the shots are just falling at a crazy clip.

And absolutely for the record MJMAHERJR Likes him and stand by my Buchanon comparison

like many of you I was discouraged by darling today as well. But I do think he looked extremely timid out there, and was solely focused on (excuse my Lav) “sharing the sugar”.

I saw a few guys out there today that looked a bit timid. For a lot of them, first time playing a game with Rick as their coach. Might be intimidating for some players… knowing Rick can and will pull you at any moment. Darling didn’t even look at the rim today. Hope he comes out more confident and attacks in his next outing and showcases himself better than he did today

It’s easy to pour dirt on a guys grave cause he looked poor against Towson, knowing the increase in competition we have coming. But I wouldn’t count him out yet
