(EXHIBITION) Towson, Sat., Oct. 18, 2p, ESPN+

Thought he settled in nicely running the team and playing D in the 2nd half.
A couple of big defensive plays down the stretch, one of which they actually scored against, anyway.

But, Towson is not a pressing team, and he struggled big-time. What's he going to do vs. pressing teams?

Was at game with my son. I said to him before game Mitchell is the glue guy. Another like Scott last year. When Mitchell was on the court good things happened. He gonna shine this year
Today was the first day I even saw him on TV for long extent I think. I was thinking defensively Scott too

how about help ? That can be fixed

He’s better than Scott defensively. The thing is we need 3 guards on the floor offensively. And you always want Hopkins on the floor offensively.

I like Hopkins and Mitchell at the 4 and 5, but that means no Zuby.

Actually, he was guilty of that one one possession, when Zuby turned it over, off a triple-team in the backcourt.

Yes, we had too many guys just sprinting downcourt near the end.

That being said, I wasn't thrilled with how Darling led the offense, all day.

To me he did what he had to do. He's no Kadary or Smith but if he is a Jason Buchanan that's fine

LMF Grades from today's scrimmage

Bryce Hopkins: A
Ayo: A
Dillon Mitchell: B
Oziyah Sellers: B
Liotopoulos: B
Zuby: C
Prey: C
Jackson: F
Sanon: F
Odih: incomplete
Darling: return to Idaho, do not pass Go, do not collect $200

Staff has a whole lot of work to do between now and next week.

But from a season standpoint their decision to pass on serviceable point guards, swing for the fences and miss on 3 others, and then scramble may haunt them. Do not think this team is close to U Conn for the league title.

Oh this will be fun to not agree. Darling is Lawman's new Jenkins

I'm your Huckleberry

The whole team struggled against the press; to single out Darling as the cause is nonsense.
And not sure what game you were watching but Towson pressed very well.

LOLOL. Don't insult Jason Buchanan that way. Don't even insult Eugene Lawrence by comparing him to Darling. He was brutal. Walk on level bad.
So let's bet dinner on something simple. His final +-. What's your number

So the fact the offense flowed much better in the 2nd half means nothing?
Have a ton of respect for your BB knowledge but disagree and his 2nd half minutes tells me Pitino thought the same.
Sellers started the second half at point and the lead was built with him in the game.

They treaded water with Darling in the fourth quarter until Towson put on the press.

Eventually Pitino came to half court and hollered at Darling "What the F is wrong with you?". Another listener interpreted it as "Come to the Fing ball or similar.".

Several players just refused to give him the ball late in the game and brought it up themselves.

Bottom line is he looked very bad against a mid major. Absent a huge turnaround I have no idea what he can do against Michigan or a good high major team.

Sellers may be able to manage the point though out of position for him. Maybe Mitchell as point forward. But glaring Achilles heel for this team.
