EPL 2015-16

IMO: Would def take Hazard and Aguero way before Alexis. Good player but not the gamechanger the other two guys are. Thats just counting the attacking options, there are still defenders and midfielders that are crucial to many teams :)

Edit: Cant forget the goalies either.

110% right. Ask Chelsea/Arsenal how they feel about a certain keeper.

Selling Cech was the right move. He's too good to be a backup but it's unfortunate to lose Courtois for such a long period.

Begovic has been great. Maybe our best player so far this season. Ivanovic and Fabregas are killing Chelsea.

Ivanovic for sure... Idk how someone can regress so much during one offseason. It was coming though, you cant rely on john terry and an aging backline to replicate their form from last year.

Very disappointing. The entire backline needs to be replaced. Need to pick up Stones and Varane in the offseason, move Azpilqueta to RB and either find a new LB or give Rahman a chance to see what he can do. I've never seen a backline age so quickly like Chelsea's.

speaking of Sanchez. he scored the equalizer against Olympiakos and ran to the net to grab the ball, the classic symbol for "we are going to score again on you." 45 seconds later we scored on them! Sorry but if you're going to pull the ball out of our net you shouldn't fall asleep like that. Still living in the past, albeit a week ago

Was he responsible for the goal against?

I doubt he had much/anything to do with conceding the goal but he definitely was part of the story.

Sorry but the two aren't related in my mind. I appreciate a guy who takes the ball and runs it back out to mid pitch to continue on with play. If the team gave up a goal less than a minute later its totally separate to me.

Agree to disagree. If your team gives up a goal seconds later you look like a clown IMO. I see your point though, just have different interpretations of what the action represents.

i'll tell you, watching arsenal thrash a shambolic Man U team made me feel even a little better about Olympiakos!

How about Northern Ireland hammering Greece 3-1. didn't see that one coming.

Rep of Ireland are now World Champs after beating Germany 1-0! ;)

Unbelievable result.

My Hammers continue to surprise. Another big win, taking down Chelsea in a dandy match today.

cpavin – standing by Mourinho or have you seen enough? Such a talented squad but remarkably undisciplined today.

Your Hammers are one of the great stories of the season so far. They have taken some serious scalps along the way. As for Mourinho - it is almost like he is daring Abramovich to fire him.

Congrats on the Hammers win although the Fabregas goal should have counted. They have a really nice team. Should qualify for Europe this year. I was lucky enough to see them last year at the Bridge on boxing day.

I still think Mourinho is the best manager in soccer so yes I am standing by him. My biggest worry is his history has pretty much been the same. He comes in and wins trophies immediately and then in year three or four hits a rough patch and looks to cut bait. I doubt he lasts the year. Look for him to return to Inter. I think his biggest problem is lack of depth and his squad rotation is poor. The backline is old but what happened to Fabregas. The guy came within one assist last year of the EPL record. The service to Hazzard and Costa has been so bad can't blame those guys.

i think the offside was correctly called. His left leg is behind the defense.

As a Hammers fan, I wholeheartedly agree with Jack Williams! ;)

Chelsea's slow start will make the rest of their season interesting. They're too talented to stay on the bottom half of the table. Just a question of when they'll start their run and how high they can climb by season's end.

No chance. Your only argument would be his right hand but still don't see it.

Joel Campbell plays, Joel Campbell scores. Understand that Arsene?

Mourinho has to be fired, right?

NLD ends 1-1, I will take it. Arsenal look tired, for once the int'l break comes at the right time. Get Bellerin and maybe Ramsey back. Sanchez needs a rest but will probably play for Chile.

I think I read Dec for Jack, Jan for Welbeck & Rosicky and after the this break (next game is at WBA Nov 21) for Theo, Ox, Ramsey and Bellerin.
