Dunn Visit

Zach B
Cleveland State transfer Rasheem Dunn starts his official visit to St. John's today. Brooklyn kid who played at Thomas Jefferson with Shamorie Ponds. #sjubb
So back to topic is Dunn definite?
More like probable it seems.
So if it happens does the title of the thread change to Dunn Done ? :)
Dunn Done Deal?:) B)
Almost done
Finally done
And
Well done

In MA I trust until proven otherwise -
He’s “ done “ everything we could have hoped for at this late date:
Staff
Recruits
LJ and MH in place
Re-connecting with the basketball community
No extended vacations to California, wherever
lol
All the best

Why the need to engage and denigrate?
I get what your saying Monte, but look what good work we did with MZ! It gives us all hope.
I wouldn’t know since since I ignore his posts. Just kidding MZ lol
I like to think of myself as D'Angelo Harrison with a bit less basketball skill. A bit wild as a freshman but for the most part found the light and is occasionally misunderstood though it's all from enthusiasm lol. I was iffy on the Dunn situation but if CMA and staff really are even half of what we are hearing they are, maybe he can be groomed into a solid piece. I know every time I see Nova go out and get some transfer from some random mid major, I instantly see them as having potential because we see what Jay Wright does with them. I think we have a bad taste in our mouths based on the fact that most of our "diamonds in the rough" remained in the rough for the most part and never improved much. Maybe we finally have a coach who can show us much improved players year after year. Again, think Paschall early in his Nova career...just a paint guy with no 3 pt shot. By his senior year he was a legitimate 3 pt threat. That's the type of improvement I long to see with our guys.
I will trust this staff until they give me a reason not to trust them. So far it is way too early for any that. They seem to be out there and very visible at all the current recruiting events and they have brought in some players here late that if they develop them can be very good four year players. If we get Dunn we will finally have a full roster of kids who should be able to compete at this level which we haven't had in while. I don't know what more you can ask for at this point? They seem to be working very hard.

If what is being said is true per Vin on twitter than Dunn could be the replacement for Eli. If that’s the case then let’s look him up now.

Yes, please elaborate... if there’s an issue with Eli, the Dunn pickup makes a ton more sense.

I certainly hope not because looking at the roster I felt that only Eli and Greg look like guards/swingmen who are have the potential to make any significant contribution this year to compliment Mustafa and LJ. I have faith that the staff will get the balance to play within themselves and the system to compete every night but immediately recognizable BE talent is not something there is a lot of on the present roster at those positions.
Who is Vin?
Just another knucklehead who thinks he knows what's going on but really has no clue. Think he pulls that shit outta mid-air to be honest. Not someone who actually has any connection to the team.

... I was also wondering about the mods yesterday when i was called "clueless", a "complete fool" and sarcastically "genius", but perhaps those protections are only afforded to long-time posters.
Fair enough. Name calling isn't permitted but keep in mind that mods have "day jobs' too. Most of us get to spend 30-60 min a day on this site, at most. Usually far less. If we see something egregious we'll act, but that doesn't mean we'll always see a post that someone might have been offended by, or even agree on whether its "offensive" or not, let alone that we'll act on it in a time frame they might find acceptable.

Next time you feel someone has crossed a line, either responding to you or any other poster, report the post and we'll deal with it accordingly. If its not so offensive as to warrant reporting then its not really offensive, is it?

I'll live - more annoying then anything. The next time it happens i plan to go straight to Pete Alonso as i understand he is working to fight online bullying :)

I don’t know who Vin is and I don’t know what he said but let’s just say there is smoke unfortunately. Would be disappointing but such is life.

And in addition to what SJUFAN2 wrote I would like to add that I like my fellow moderators don’t want to be a policeman, that is the part we hate. We want to come to talk SJU hoops like everyone else and partake in the conversation. We hope that grown adults can work things out on their own and take the hints, cues, subtle innuendos given by other posters prior to us stepping in.
Having said that your point is well acknowledged.
Does anyone know how Dunn's visit is going, and is it on TV?
Yes, if you have Fios, turn to channel 593. Dunn is currently relieving himself in the Carnesecca Arena locker room. He just mentioned that he is very impressed with the school's toilets. It's "must see TV."

Interesting coverage for the Golf Channel, not I didn't have to look that up. ;)

Or we can just ask Moose, since it seems like he knew something a week ago. . .

Oh boy...here comes the drama again. It's like a pimple you thought was gone and you feel it coming through again. Hope it's just smoke but no fire.
