Detroit Game

From espnnewyork.com He will come off the bench for Detroit game and play the same number of minutes if he was starting.

But that # includes all season tickets.
Far cry from the days of 6,008 season tickets.

I cringe to know what our season ticket number is still. A few years ago it was something like 600 accounts. Granted an account could have a bunch of tickets associated with it but still.

There are not many tickets sold due to the very obscure timing of the game. 2 PM right smack in the middle of when classes are held on a Tuesday. I can understand why there are lots of seats available. I think you have to wait for weekend games to get a true picture of fan support. Also, if this team actually starts winning for a change, you will see crowds come out. Midnight madness had the best turnout ever, so clearly the enthusiasm is there...they just need to make games more convenient for students/alumni and win.

Just checked availabilty on line.
Best seats left are section 10, upper, low P.
Sure seems like a lot more than 3,500 sold.

Really unnecessary unless his violation was very serious which I doubt. If Lavin keeps doing this, I wouldn't be shocked to see him up and leave. We need him, he doesn't need us. We should remember that.

So the game tomorrow is only half sold out? That's pretty bad.
I know it's a terrible time, and an awful commute for a lot of people. But I thought we'd be at least 75% full. It's a meaningful game on national tv.

Gonna be tough for most fans. I have to take a half day and this time of year it was not well received.

The 2pm is real tough. I'm going to be there but not sure what time I will be getting there depending on that the market is doing

hahaha...you're a funny guy, bruh

SJU as we know it is in his hands

This is purely a hypothetical but if he comes off the bench and lights it up, I keep him there. He's a volume scorer, not efficient by any means so it could be highly beneficial to have a superb scorer come off the bench.

There's actually nothing funny about it. If Harrison leaves our program is set back a few years instantly. Look at Lindsey...he thought Dunlap was a hard ass and he up and left. It doesn't take much for kids to leave. These players receive nothing but praise before they come to SJ with their amazing talents. Then a guy like Harrison comes here, scores the most points ever as a SJ freshman, and we bench him for 2 games and psychologically bench him for a 3rd? I think he deserves a little more respect. Again, it all depends on what he did but judging by the 3 penalties it must have been bad. If it wasn't that bad, Lavin has to relax and understand his ego might be fragile.

You have no idea what D'Angelo did.

So how are you determining that the punishment does not fit the crime?

I agree its not funny and would think it makes no sense for him to go. However, young adults today think they know it all, are beholden to no one and have nothing left to learn. When someone tries to help them they often respond immaturely and emotionally rather than taking a step back and turning it into a learning moment. Quite often this results in irrational conflicts simply because the youngster hasn't been taught how to listen and consider before responding on an emotional level. I hope DLo tries to make this a learning moment rather than reacting like the hothead he looked like most of last year. Kid has a wealth of talent but just as obviously had a lot of growing up to do last year.

I clearly stated I do not know what he did nor does anyone on here. But what could he have possibly done to warrant 2 real benchings and 1 psychological one? Seems harsh for almost every scenario in regards to what he did. Like I said, if he is failing a class or got into a fight with a teammate or something then I can see it, but not for much else.

I would rather have a hot-headed kid that gets me to the NCAA tournament than a hot-headed kid who transfers and leaves our program in shambles. A lot of these kids come from hardened backgrounds with broken homes and low incomes. I think that should be taken into consideration. Some kids respond well to tough love and others respond negatively. I guess we will figure out which of those is true for D'Lo. By the way, how was he a hot head last year? What examples did you use to come to that conclusion? Not saying that in an accusatory manner, I'm honestly just wondering because I can't remember seeing anything that stuck out to me.

Not taking the bait, so cast your line out to someone else. Every generation before ours was perfect...we know. That is established fact.

On redstormsports today there were a couple of interesting quotes about Dlo from Phil&Dom about better ways channeling his energy/temper
