DePaul

How we close out games is a HUGE concern. You can't keep doing this during the final minutes of a game, yet we do this way too much. That's a BIG problem.

HARRISON ONCE AGAIN CAME UP SMALL DOWN THE STRETCH...I CONGRATUALATED HIM IN THIS THREAD EARLIER FOR PASSING MARK JACKSON, BUT HE WILL GO DOWN AS ONE OF, IF NOT THE MOST OVERRATED PLAYER IN ST. JOHNS HISTORY.

THIS PROGRAM IS A **^Y^%^ DISGRACE!@!!

Stupidest comment ever blaming Harrison. If it was not for him we would if lost by 25.

Have our goals changed Coach?

Where is your proof that Lavin told them to get it to Hooper for a 3?

How many games in a row do we have to lose before you'll stop defending the coach?
At any point in the last month have we look organized in the last 5 mins of a game?

You can play with teams all you want, but until you close out, you aren't going anywhere, what is amazing was we closed out well last year I thought and this year we are just awful

Sad, that the rest of the games don't mean much up until BE tourney, but it's looking that way now, needed to be 11-7 to even think about an automatic bid, and that's impossible at this point.

I was hoping that the "if we win the next 7, then lose 2, but Villanova and Creighton lose their next 6 for playing with illegal rubber on their sneakers, then we only need to win the last 2 and have the rest of the league finish with 2 ties and one no contest, and we tie for 6th in the Big East" would finally stop.

Bad decision by Harrison to try to put it up when he was surrounded down low.

Jordan got stripped on the double team

Sanchez wasn't a horrible look from the right corner, but a horrible shot - air ball

Even with all that the 3 point specialist was open to nail a huge shot, and missed

And the undersized center GG knocks the rebound out of bounds.

And that was the game.

Still envisioning all those sweeps in BE play? :)

it is amazing that we never every ever close out games ..if it is close we lose case closed ,,unreal even a broken clock is right 2 rimes in 24 hours but we never close out games

hooper did his job defensively but why on earth was branch on the bench?

Agreed, Branch would gave driven to the hole and either scored or would have made sure he got fouled. He played well all night.

I don't want branch touching the ball in that situation but you are right. how do you not go to the goal??? jordan should have had it in his hands. i can't believe lavin burned that last timeout!!!! I am more down right now then i can honestly remember. the norm era does not count because i had no expectations.

St john's defense was terrible tonight.

what gets me is that Harrison absolutely had to see a wide open Hooper just prior to that ill advised force...we play like a bunch of guys who want to be the hero...

Not much to say except same old same old Just.Knew if it was close in the last 5 mins they would as usual find a way to lose . Buy they played hard and we were right in it On to Thursday

What I've said was that if we lose today it gives us only the narrowest margin of error the rest of the way. We have four teams that we conceivably could sweep - DePaul, being one of them. Basically still would need 3 sweeps, all splits, and get swept only once. Really long odds to get to 11 wins.

didn't mean to say that I thought Branch should have taken last shot...just that guys like Jordan and Branch get to the basket effortlessly...and that was all that was needed to turn this into a 6-10 point win...

also, I know I being repetitive...but I saw Jordan deliberately post the smaller Garrett twice in the 1st half...why our coaches didn't see that as a mismatch to be exploited is beyond me...

Keep defending harrison...the kid constantly comes up small in the big spot, especially this season. He's shooting 38% on the year.

If not for Harrison, we'd be worse...but that's only because the rest of the players stink even more.

I'm glad my wife asked me to go to the movies. The Wolf of Wall Street was better than this debacle. I can now erase my DVR.

Agree. Lavin's frantic demeanor at end of games does not translate to completing games smartly. Also, Burning that TO????
