DePaul

A while back I said ,perhaps we can not win a game in confr and was wondering where and who we can beat?? . .Still wondering .Anyone have any opinions

Well The "bottom " of the Big East is significantly better. This DePaul team can go toe to toe with anyone except for maybe Creighton. As for us the problem is we play up or down to our competition. This team is not that bad. Ive watched some years when we would go into games against Colombia, Fordham or Manhattan with out feeling like we had a chance to win. Or on Carnessecca night when we lose to St Francis!!!!! This team has gone into everygame with a shot to win. I am not going to make any predictions as all of my previous ones have gone awry. We are a few plays from being a top 25 team. I am going to keep rooting and keep believing we got a shot. If we dont secure an At large Bid, BE tournament is going to be "do or die".

If not significantly better, the bottom of the league is picking it up significantly and there are not very many easy games for anyone.

What I wouldnt give for a game against University of South Florida right now lol

This is big time college sports. I would boo any body that is not performing. South Florida feels the same way, what they wouldn't give for a game against St. Johns.

They lost to the Santa Clara Broncos. I am not sure they would be so eager to face us.

At least not in February.

Or for the older guys, the Dan Callandrillo led Seton Hall Pirates. Always an easy win. So easy that you didn't mind him dropping 30 on us. 1982 Big East player of the year. Here's a great article on him

Some people here want to throw in the towel. I am a St. John's fan. Have been for an awful long time. I don't throw in towels or stop watching. I watch every game I can, and hope to for many years to come. That is what fans do. So goodbye SJUISBACK and whoever else quits on the program. We don't need your kind around here.

Well, like the fella says..... when the going gets tough, the tough realizes there's more to life than watching lousy basketball.

Netflix here I come!

Rather watch the knicks and rangers as I did last night.
Then as soon as I turn on SJU in the final minutes, what do I see?
SJU up 3 with the ball, so why not take your time and look for a good shot?
Instead Harrison goes to the basket, forces up a shot and it gets blocked and they get a layup.

So instead of a possible 5pnt lead it`s only a 1 pnt lead.
I didn`t watch the whole game but I could see that was the turning point,

The thing though is that it wasn`t just last night, but how many times do they force up shots in the last 3-4minutes to get it blocked and they lose in the end.
I guess some people like watching the same thing over and over and over like a broking record and get pissed in the end.

Under a real coach would this continue to happen? After awhile it just gets old.
