DePaul

This team will never amount to anything. They have no basketball intellect whatsoever.

Vacc knows!

@MikeVacc: I've been wrong a lot in my day. Maybe never quite as much as overestimating this year's St. John's team. #sjubb

Hard fought effort but like I said before, we play down to the opposition and that will bite you in the rear. Too reliant on D-Lo and in turn, he takes too much of the scoring burden on his shoulders. Sometimes he takes ill-advised low percentage shots instead of looking to his team-mates. Needs to show more discipline.

If you were starting from scratch, you would keep D-Lo and Jordan. The rest are simply not good enough.

Was the play after the timeout really designed for Sanchez to launch a 3?

Starting 0-4, I doubt we will make the NIT.

Sad, that the rest of the games don't mean much up until BE tourney, but it's looking that way now, needed to be 11-7 to even think about an automatic bid, and that's impossible at this point.

hooper had clean look at good shot ..it was the coaching and play the last 3 mins that was a disgrace ..total out of control .. to take a TO and get a crazy forced # from OS is crazy ...

You have an open look from a 95% 3 point shooter, at least on youtube. I thought it was a great look from a team that couldn't be trusted to get a shot off the way they were turning it over at the end. He missed. Nice move by coach burning the last timeout. Would have been nice to set up a play after the foul shots were missed.

hooper did his job defensively but why on earth was branch on the bench?

Agreed, Branch would gave driven to the hole and either scored or would have made sure he got fouled. He played well all night.

@VinParise: DePaul edges out St. John's 77-75. The Red Storm did not score for the final 3:49 of the game.

We are the worst closing team in country.

Bad decision by Harrison to try to put it up when he was surrounded down low.

Jordan got stripped on the double team

Sanchez wasn't a horrible look from the right corner, but a horrible shot - air ball

Even with all that the 3 point specialist was open to nail a huge shot, and missed

And the undersized center GG knocks the rebound out of bounds.

And that was the game.

I've never been more wrong about a team this year. I actually thought this team was elite 8 quality.

don't get it either...we could have stretched our lead by simply having guys (like Branch) take it to the rim...he playd so well and then got iced...even Greene came back in for a few cameos despite bring less than zero to this game

Harrison's force in traffic and poor strategy in last 2 lost this game for us...

Nah, should never have come down to the wire against THIS opponent.
A last second, come from behind win against Depaul is every bit the bad omen for the rest of the season as a loss to them is.
