With the way things happen with and to this program, does anyone know for sure if Lovett got on the plane?
After the SH vs. Marquette game, Lav said that a win against Creighten would vault us to tournament consideration. Grant it, Big East play is only just getting started, but after a bunch of bad losses, the last thing I ever expected to hear this season was any tournament talk, not even NIT, CBI or even CYO.
His logic is that with so many ranked teams in the Big East, there's opportunities to move up the rankings quickly providing we build on the last 3 wins. We are a young team, so a roller coaster season was expected and let's just say I'm enjoying this part of the ride.

Perspective!
If we can steal one of those and beat DePaul at home we would be 4-3 with nine to go. Split with Marquette and Providence would give us 6 and beat Seton Hall or Georgetown at home for 7.
I hope to God you weren't doing the actual driving while you were watching the game. If so that is insane. As far as basketball goes we need to guard against overconfidence in the rematch at home in 2 weeks. We can't afford to have the mentality of well we beat them on the road so it should be no problem to beat them at home.Man....great win.
I managed to watch the entire game on my phone propped up on my dash using the Fox Sports Go app while driving back from NY visit (Butler game at CA was great !!!) doing 70 mph on I-81... Overall it worked great, minus the few times it locked up driving through some of the mountains..
Overall, this thread helped me get the jist of what I was trying to see through my little screen at a distance and hoping to see the full replay posted somewhere.
Still wish that Sima had stuck around, but we are a better team without him now that Williams and Owens have been forced to step up.
I don't think Sima was athletic enough or had good enough hands to excel in the pick and roll type pro style offense that Mullin runs. Setting a pick then having to roll to the basket and receiving a pass on the move while rolling to the basket. What do you think Monte?
Agree completely. The game we play just moves to fast for Sima, but not for Owens and Williams. Yakwe may still get there. He's had some nice pick and roll baskets over past few games and can be useful moving forward. If we continue to play well with this rotation, not sure how much PT Freud will get, but hopefully Chris can find a way to get 5-10 MPG of production out of him.
Speaking of Freudenberg he didn't last long after throwing away a pass, in fact never saw another minute. Prefer he get more minutes then Alibecovic. Why is he even playing? I'm sorry he does absolutely nothing. Nice kid but give the playing time to someone who should be around next year.
Three play sequence for RF. Missed wide open three. Didn't close out on guy shooting a three he made and then turned the ball over.
True, however who closed out on their three point shooters, McCallum and Docks?

Perspective!
This has been happening a lot. I think part of the thought process is that Lovett and Ponds will attract the two best on the ball defenders so it should be easier for Ellison to get the offensive set started at least.
