Curbelo

Discouraging year obviously, but I guess some points of enjoyment remain including Joel’s unexpected level of play, Posh retaking the PG reins, AJ Storr blossoming and a little more experience for Omar, King, etc., It would also be so SWEET to upset UConn at MSG to add to their disappointing season and see dentist deprived Storr’s drunks moan on the way back to that dump.

With all of the issues I've had with CMA, his going out and getting Curbelo is not one of them. Given the chance, you've got to grab a kid with Curbelo's talent, especially on a team lacking in talent, and hope you can reign him in. IMO Curbelo should have come off the bench and Posh and Curbelo should have seen limited time on the court together. Having said that, no matter how CMA had utilized Curbelo, it was never going to work because of Curbelo being Curbelo.

Always sweet to beat UCONN!

I’m hoping for a D’Lo like transformation with Curbelo. Maturity will cure a lot of his shortcomings. As well as mine.

I presume he was held out for disciplinary reasons. I wonder why he was not dressed for the game. I would have had him dress and kept him glued to the bench!

Are you saying that you also need to mature to cure your shortcomings, or that if Curbelo matures it will also cure your shortcomings?? 😂

Posh looks so much better without Curbelo around. I don't have Brando-love for King, but King deserves more minutes.
Don’t mean to exaggerate what he has done recently, but I am not surprised by King‘s recent performance. He showed a lot of poise and talent during the DR trip. Unfortunately, w/Posh, Curbelo, Wusu and Pinzon ahead of him, it was tough sledding for minutes. With Curbelo’s implosion and Pinzon (who I like) showing little defensive instincts, I think he will be moving up in the rotation.

Let’s jus say it would be criminal if King does not get more minutes going forward. King has proved himself to be active on both sides of the ball.

I'm all for giving King more minutes, he's a nice little player, but I don't expect him to move the needle very much, if at all.
King to me is this year's Dylan Wusu, underrecruited solid pickup by CMA who we will be happy to have for 4 years. Sorry, Larry W. lol

I need to see more of a sample size before saying whether or not he was underrecruited. Remember the love affair our fan base had with Pinzon? Wasn't he the steal of the century for a while there? Now many are calling for him to ride the pines in favor of King. I know it's tough to use stats as a gage when the kid has played so little, but he's shooting 25% or so from the field, and 57% from the line. Those number will have to improve significantly if the kid is gonna see more minutes then he is now.

Very fair, I'm going by the eye-test and my vision is admittedly not what it once was. Time will tell.
