Creighton, Wed. Jan. 4, 8:30pm, FS1/570AM

Is anyone interested in 2 tickets to the Creighton game tomorrow. I cant get there and looking to sell

Somebody a few weeks ago gave good advice, not to get too high or too low with this young team. The next four game slate is brutal, so keeping perspective may be a good idea.
I believe that was bucknasty.

Hey just a couple of weeks ago this looked like a hopeless loss in our house. I sold knicks tix at a 75 buck loss to go to this instead.

The mere fact that we have a shot at this game underscores why we just have to relax and enjoy what we are watching

Rothstein;
Like guards? Better check out tonight's game between Creighton and St. John's in Queens. An electric showdown of BE back courts. #SJUBB

Btw, Butler v Nova at Hinkle tonight.

Go Johnnies!!

When you are not hustling and the coach is sitting down and not coaching fans have a right to question what is going on.
For whatever reason the coach has changed his mindset in his coaching style after the Penn State Loss and it has been for the better. Which I am happy to see.
A lot of people are thinking the same thing but just afraid to say it because of the "oldies on the board" will get upset about knocking their boy Mullin.

Creighton can light up a scoreboard, think they've scored over 100 a handful of times thus far. Will be interesting to see how far along the defense has come against a high caliber offense.

While Creighton is prolific on offense, they do give up their share of points as well. This may be one of those games where you just tell the kids go pedal to the metal.

Go strength against strength. I think that might work better, since Creighton is experienced and they would have an easier time getting points in the half court than SJU.

The key tonight is ALL defense, because believe it or not, we are also a high caliber offense, sitting barely behind Nova in points per game. We can't play a streetball running game. Need to get back on defense and make them play halfcourt ball almost every time down.

Starting a thread about firing a coach 1 year and 8 games into a massive rebuild is just plain stupid too. IMHO

Last time I check he inherited a roster of just Alebegovic. Not exactly starting on solid footing.

down to 5.5.....absolutely shocked. Love my Johnnies- but also look for solid investment opportunities. can't believe this is in single digits

Creighton is really good. We are def going in the right direction but will need big games from Ponds, Lovett and Ahmed. And need two of the three bigs to contribute something just to keep it close.

No excuse however for not hustling or not engaged coaching.

Norm Roberts first year kids hustled and played hard and he was engaged. If I am a fan I can at least respect that. Secondly, it wasn't after one or two games it was going on the majority of the season besides Fordham.

If you like wasting time and money watching players not hustle then that is your opinion but I do not support that.

Let's go JOHNNIES!

Hoping (praying) for a Big "W", tonight..

On defense, see the ball, see the man.

On offense, hit the open man.

I look at it opposite. I thought they busted their asses all last year despite little talent.

Either way. Things may be looking up so hopefully these conversations may be coming to an end.

A preview of the game from the main Creighton fan website.

Interestingly, the words "Darien Williams" do not appear anywhere in the lengthy write up. This phrase does:Ahmed, at 6’7”, 210 pounds, is their only legit scoring option in the frontcourt.

One can only hope the Creighton coaching staff is similarly in the dark (although I highly doubt it!)
