Someone should ask people in power about Father Harrington's suspected/confirmed sins, then compare them to Pitino's.Stop with Pitino. His baggage will never fly at SJU. Regardless of him going to Iona.

But Cragg and Shanley are part of the reason that we're in this financial mess. Cragg gave CMA his original contract, and both Cragg and Shanley signed off on the extension. All 3 are part of the problem, and I'm not convinced any of the 3 are capable of being part of the solution. Having said that, the one I'm most confident in is Shanley. Plus, he's the Pres and the buck has to stop with him.The same way I told you I did; Cragg and Stanley know what to do but may lack the financial ability to accomplish it.
My above statement in a different post about the game passing CMA by is not a new statement by me. As I previously posted both Boeheim and CMA (but for different reasons) have not modified their game to account for the long ball. Time change.
Boeheim’s 2-3 zone is not as effective in 2023 as it was in 2010 because more kids shoot the 3 better today than 13 years ago
.
CMA’s offensive scheme is less effective because he never incorporated the long ball in his offens.
Don't get me wrong Paultz, if things continue the way they are then I don't think Cragg and Shanley have any choice but to make a change. However if we go on even a small run, then I say that gives them the excuse they need to give him 1 more year.I don’t think they have a solid run left in them and differ with my guy Monte and think Anderson will be gone after season.
Yeah let them play around and think SJU are stupid, in year 4 you better get to the ncaa tournament, if not then you go bye bye, maybe Shanley and Cragg should leave also if they bring back Anderson after this disgrace this year.Don't get me wrong Paultz, if things continue the way they are then I don't think Cragg and Shanley have any choice but to make a change. COVID yearSoriano is a Senior.
No way he gets drafted. He's a draft pick. He has the tools.

Dude, every single one of them that he accused of being Realfan was you under a different screen name. How many posters have you accused of being Realfan.
The team and program is in shambles. The kids look like they've quit. Recruiting has been and continues to be mediocre at best. That game were CMA was mic'd up was a total disaster and reflected very poorly on him. I agree that the bar to retain CMA should have been set at us dancing this season. However if we were on the bubble but just missed out, and things seemed to trending in the right direction then I think lots of us would feel like maybe you give CMA 1 more year. But that's not the case at all.Yeah let them play around and think SJU are stupid, in year 4 you better get to the ncaa tournament, if not then you go bye bye, maybe Shanley and Cragg should leave also if they bring back Anderson after this disgrace this year.
Wally was way up there. I think he averaged 37.6 or 36.7 ppg as a senior. I think NC St. came in late but he was already loyal to Miami. Have also heard the St. John's story over the years, but hindsight is 20-20.He averaged more than 30/game at CSH. But, he definitely grew a few more inches and added like 20 lbs of muscle after he was out of HS which probably hurt his recruitment more than anything.
Easy to buy into that narrative if you are a complete moron. One forward ranked 98th overall and isn’t a shooter or much of a scorer on a team probably losing its best player and only legitimate big man is going to be worse next year. Even a blind man can see that and only the eternal optimists that populate this board would think differently. We are the Brooklyn Dodgers fans of the Wait Until Next Year mantra minus the winning ."Next year we have Gardner, just wait and see, it will turn around"
Easy to buy into that narrative
"However if we were on the bubble but just missed out"? You actually think that we'll be on the bubble? The team and program is in shambles. The kids look like they've quit. I don't see any way that we're on the bubble and don't see any way that Pitino is at Iona next season."However if we were on the bubble but just missed out"? You actually think that we'll be on the bubble?
You these last 2 games right, we needed one of these 2 to have a chance, but look how they played.
Vs. Nova 2 score 26, everyone else 23, then tonight they did good on offense but give up 104pnts.
Sorry but there will be no bubble this year.
If he's back next year and Pitino stays at Iona, I'll be a Iona fan, maybe one year he'll take them on a deep run one year.
See ya Sunday.
And you can't full court press when there are 4 ball handlers versus two AND more shooters on the floor than 20 years ago.The same way I told you I did; Cragg and Stanley know what to do but may lack the financial ability to accomplish it.

Honestly, that may not be a bad thingAn "exciting new head coach" may only retain a few of the players.
