Yeah. I don’t see that happening either.
I'm not even sold on him being gone after the season. If we go on any kind of little run before the end of the season(IE win 4 out of our last 7 games) and I predict that he's back for one more year.

My concern is for AJ Storr. If you were Storr and spent half the season playing behind others who were not as talented and had Anderson returning as coach, would you stick around?

We better hope if a change is made in the staff at seasons end, its done done quickly so the new coach can connect with players before they fly the coup.

I would be very surprised if Storr returned to SJU.

Otis how you feeling about Cragg and Shanley right about now?

The same way I told you I did; Cragg and Stanley know what to do but may lack the financial ability to accomplish it.

My above statement in a different post about the game passing CMA by is not a new statement by me. As I previously posted both Boeheim and CMA (but for different reasons) have not modified their game to account for the long ball. Time change.

Boeheim’s 2-3 zone is not as effective in 2023 as it was in 2010 because more kids shoot the 3 better today than 13 years ago
.
CMA’s offensive scheme is less effective because he never incorporated the long ball in his offens.

the game has passed CMA by.
That's very possible. I was thinking that may have been the case last season. Maybe his style of play would work if he had a couple studs (likely a complete backcourt) or a loaded team.

Like I said last season, he's played and coached with this style or something quite similar for many years. I surmise he's too stubborn to adjust his style being he has won lotsa games with it. His fastball seems to be gone and it may be time to hang it up.

This is probably his last stop as a college head coach unless he's coaching at a mid-major (he's done as a Power 6 head coach). He's made enough bread, so he may call it quits if he his indeed fired after this season.

A. I’m glad I don’t have cbs sports and B. How a high major school could extend a coaches contract without 1 ncaa appearance is beyond me.

I hope the school hired good lawyers and that the extension was really not an extension. Maybe the contract has a right for SJU to terminate without penalty if CMA fails to meet certain hurdles.
