@Creighton, Tue., Dec. 31, 4p, PEACOCK

Zuby will need help with Culk-Brenner, but with our bench that should not be too much of a problem. If we limit his points, and offensive rebounds we should be fine.

Let's take an early lead and try to get their crowd out of the game. They have great fans, but getting on top of them early removes that big advantage somewhat.

Question: if Lavin has a dy off is he flying to Omaha to make kissy-face with McDermott and have some dollar beers and hot dogs?? (JK, I'm a Lavignes fan).

Key to the game - limit kalkbrenner and Asworth.

This will be no easy take. Kalkbrenners size with be a problem and ashworth's shooting will be a problem.

We need to bring our A game today.

Question for the streaming experts - If I come home at 5pm for today's game and don't know the score, can I start from the beginning of the game?

You should be able to with the option of starting from the beginning or picking it up live.

Please note that I started a soccer game from the start that had been streaming for awhile. I didn’t get to the end before it stopped (missed the last two minutes or so of stoppage time).

ESPN doesn't like our chances. And their betting line moved

When I initially looked at schedule in first five games, I felt we’d be fine in big picture splitting road games w CU and Xavier, while holding serve at home and beating PC. Getting a 4 & 1 start is not something to sneeze at considering our history of poor starts in BE play. Of course I could be greedy and push a 5 & 0 theme, but just being practical. Like our chances tonight in tight game, but not joining my friend “Mean Gene” on greased Empire State Building ledge if we don’t win. 😇

We've had enough games for coach to smooth things out and know his team.
When we get confronted by the beasts of the B E. we will know the real truth.

I think we have the talent but meshing may be another story.
Foul shot percentage is iffy especially when foul shots occur
in so many clutch situations.

That said we really seem to have talented guys.

I like Vince if he would just stay disciplined on D and not try to do too much on offense.

I dont expect much from Prey at this point.

But if Zuby gets in foul trouble, we are in big trouble.
One of the good things about Zuby is that he rarely if ever does.... so that's a real positive. Of course, playing against another skilled big(ger), there's always that danger.

I like our chances to consistently dance and make a deep run in the tournament at least once over the next three years. Is there anybody on this board who wouldn’t have signed up for this two years ago?
Yes...and No.

Yes - I would sign up for "chances to consistently dance and make a deep run in the tournament at least once over the next three years."

And No - we don't know what "this" is yet. So far it's one failure of a season and one in which we're likely 2 and 1 after tonight with no signature win and squarely on the bubble of an Ncaa selection committee that hates our guts.
