@Creighton, Tue., Dec. 31, 4p, PEACOCK

One of the good things about Zuby is that he rarely if ever does.... so that's a real positive. Of course, playing against another skilled big(ger), there's always that danger.
We will have to double him sometimes, but critical to recover quickly to their shooters, easier said then done. Switching gears, get into Ashworth’s head w solid on ball D & being physical. Do that and entry passes not easy and that hopefully disrupts Creighton’s offensive flow.

To all that don't have Peacock and want to watch the game, they have a promo starting today for $1.99 a month for a minimum of 3 months. Just use the promo code NEWYEAR25 to get that price. I figure that it's worth it for today and the upcoming Gtown game. I couldn't find any way to pirate the game.

Benoit Benjamin is not walking through those doors.
Doubt Bob Gibson will either . Perhaps in Spirit and wearing a Blue Jay jersey .
Double sport guy at Creighton a while ago .

Great story about Gibson . In his last game pitching for the Cards a guy hits a homer off him . Gibson retires and 12 years later in Old Timer’s game , the same guy gets up against him . Gibson hit him on the 1st pitch .
Hank Aaron said “ when you get to the Plate against Gibson , don’t stare at him , smile or take too long getting set in the box . If you do , he will hit you “

Yes...and No.

Yes - I would sign up for "chances to consistently dance and make a deep run in the tournament at least once over the next three years."

And No - we don't know what "this" is yet. So far it's one failure of a season and one in which we're likely 2 and 1 after tonight with no signature win and squarely on the bubble of an Ncaa selection committee that hates our guts.
I don’t think last year was a failure. I did expect us to dance and believe we had the talent to do so. By end of year we were playing like a top 25 team. We were snubbed from getting a bid. If we had gotten a bid I think we may have won two or three games depending on the matchups.

I think this team definitely dances this year win or lose today. Time will tell

2010-2011 SJU started Big East play beating West Virginia in Morgantown, Providence at The Dunk and #13 Georgetown at MSG. School sent out the game preview with wrong info.

This is the first of a string of conference games. We must bring our A game, but this is no soft touch.

The key to their game is Kalk and Ashworth. Kalk is dangerous in the pick and roll and high lobs, Ashworth from the three. Stop them and our chances are good.

We are strong on the boards, Zuby, Smith, LJ and Kadary. We need more out of Scott. From the minutes he gets he must up his game. Would like to see him hit the boards, drive to the hoop and not rely on shooting the three.

Joel's knee didn't help matters. That was a big factor.

This will be the first game where Zuby is playing against a quality big who is much taller than him. Will be interesting to see how he handles it; hope he can stay out of foul trouble and in any event expecting to see Vince get some minutes against Kalkbrenner.
