Creighton (MSG), Sun., Feb. 25, 12 Noon, CBS

I mean this seriously. Luis earns a star for not throwing up dumbass shots and wild passes. Before he can be a plus plus player, has to eliminate the negative negative and he did that today.
He clearly reeled his game in today for the better. Despite others not wanting him to return, with a year under Rick’s system, he would be a key piece next season. I would expect a refined player capable of taking games over without forcing the issue.

He shot 1-6, with I believe a couple of TOs. So he definitely made his presence felt in his 11 minutes on the court. The only time he didn't hurt us was in his 29 minutes on the bench.
I'd have to check but if those 6 shots weren't ill advised im ok with them. I don't remember any wild drives or passes .

What a game everyone played well everyone . Luis passing Soriano making plays . Can't say enough best game of the year . Shockingly I would believe we are back in the bubble win out rear of the games I believe we are in

I didn't say he was, so as usual you missed my point. if you're gonna challenge me, at least try to comprehend what I'm saying.
"The 2nd half of the season he's played at a Marcus Hatten level."

Sorry, misunderstood this comment. LOL

12-18 from the floor, 6 assists, 1TO and you still knock the guy. Spot on analysis……..
Exactly - he shot 12-18 instead of 8-18, a few more shots dropped than usual. It was his best offensive performance of the year. Not sure what there is for you to ... take offense" at.

If you want to overlook dribbling the ball out of bounds instead of holding it and getting fouled when Creighton was trying to give away fouls, or trying to throw an oop to Ledlum instead of running clock (since I know that you know enough basketball to know a stupid play when you see it), then that's your prerogative.

Other games those mistakes have cost us dearly. Fortunately not today.

Let me rephrase just to clarify "the 2nf half of the season he's put up Marcus Hatten like numbers". Now that's not debatable 😉

On the list whose players mistakes have cost us dearly, Jenkins is near or at the bottom. Having said that, he should have pulled the ball out instead of passing to Ledlum. But it didn't cost us squat because we won.

every player is going to have poor plays during a game if they are aggressive and handling the ball. we aren't looking for perfection here. just give credit where it is deserved. he was on today and his shot at GT was big also. Maybe he has found his stride, who knows .

Today he was the Man!

Played great last 10 games or so.
Also one of biggest reasons we struggled so much first half.
Whatever if continues to play near this level and team somehow makes tournament his year here will be thought of very positively.

I cannot remember any player carrying us to a huge win like DJ did today, and actually getting criticized after the game. And that includes Hardy, Hatten, Ponds, etc etc etc. Totally ridiculous.

He took a couple of very questionable shots in the first half before being pulled.

As I said earlier, if he's open to being coached up then I'd love to have him back next season as I think he seriously have untapped potential. If he's resistant to coaching then we probably need to move on.
If any coach could bring out the best in Luis, it's Rick. But in this day and age of college basketball annual free agency, and with this being the instant gratification generation, I would bet against Luis coming back next year and putting his faith in Rick.
