Creighton Game

this should be our easiest win of the season. The only way we can lose is with multiple numbers of our patented unforced errors. Avoid that and it's a 15-20 pt win. Groeselle is their only inside threat and CO should swat away anything he even attempts to put up. Zierden was their top outside threat and he's out. Chatman and Brooks cant defend our taller guards. No excuses tonight

Exactly, get some fast break points early, keep the crowd out. No reason to lose this game, a team with NCAA tournament aspirations has to win this one no excuses

The next fan base that hates us isssss, yep you guessed it

Jack, I read all the posts in that thread, and except for one, I didn't get a sense that they hate us. Some of their criticism of us was spot on, and reflects some of the criticism of both our players and Lavin that have been posted here.

I expected more of the phrases I've read from some other fan bases that hate us. You know, the usual: "thugs", "aggressive", etc. Didn't read any of that here.

Still interesting to see what they think of this game. Some of them clearly think they can beat us, based on the battle we had with Duke and DLo's injury. And some of them think our athleticism will be too much for their players to handle and expect us to win. I really hope the latter group is correct! :cheer:

There's nothing mean or nasty posted on there - but I take umbrage with them taking pot shots at Coach Lavin. That is our job alone and we don't need no help from no squawkin' Bluejay.

No one, and I mean no one, comes into our house and criticizes our coach... unless we have had our chance to lambaste, tar/feather him first.

Tonight's game makes me nervous. I know on paper, and based on how I've seen Creighton play, and with the injured Zierden, we should kill them. But this is just the kind of game that we have lost in the past. Plus, Creighton is looking for their first BE win this year.

I do not like this game tonight. This game tonight I do not like.

Thank you Dr. Seuss!

johnnies will be focused tonight and get this MUST win. key will be to take crowd out of game from the start and KEEP them out. Need good passing, drive to basket, and CRASH the boards, EVERYONE! Second chance points are key. D'Angelo needs to snap out of this funk/injury/whatever is going on.....hopefully this will be a start of a run. SENIOR team needs to seize this moment in the season...This is a turning point...start losing, season is done...start winning, we DANCE!!

Chuck everything that is going on with the team right now - Harrison injury, short bench, Amar or JDR play or don't play.

This is a game that a tourney team, or any team hoping to make the dance WINS. That is regardless of our current record, if we've lost 6 in a row, or are 11-1. a decent team goes in and gets the job done.

This is like a round 1 NCAA game. No matter how competitive the game may be, you have to win. Forget the angry posts if we don't win, because it would be validation that this team just doesn't have the talent, heart, preparation, or anything to be considered a tourney team. We've had our slip home vs. Butler and away at DePaul. No more slips allowed.
