takeaway from the XL Center game, Danny H heading through the tunnel and fans are giving it to him. He shouts back at them, "yeah tough guys, yeah, it takes a lot to yell at me from 50 feet away and layers of people between us, coward"!

And I thought our fan base was tough on a coach.
Ya gotta understand, outside of yukon bball and cow tipping there's no other sports for them to root for, and cow tipping isn't on espn so there's another problem.

Stanley only played 6 minutes, his second lowest total of the year. Not sure why, injury, illness, or coaches decision. Hope Joel can continue to keep away from foul trouble the rest of the season and amazing that he got himself in shape to play 35 minutes a game.
I think Stanley played so little because he gave up so much size to Sanogo and Clingan. He had 2 fouls in those 6 minutes. Nyiwe was the better match up.

Believe he is saying- if we give CMA credit for in-season development (Wheeler / Pinzon / Storr) .... who gets the blame for those who seem to regress (Jones etc..)?

Jones is still 2nd on the team in scoring, even though he's in a a little slump. I wouldn't really call that a regression. And Posh is Posh, he's still the best on ball defender in the conference, leading the conference in steals, just had a 14 point game, and is playing the most minutes on the team. So again.... I say huh???

Mike A, to me, has failed Posh in a lot of ways this season.

Now, Posh could have helped himself by raising his 3pt% this year, no denying that, but Mike A and staff have never really made it comfortable for Posh and Curbelo to share the floor. The pairing has largely not worked this year, and as a coach you either have to fix that, or stagger their minutes so they aren't out their together as much.

Staff has not really done either. It has been disappointing because when Posh is flying around being Posh, it is awesome. But he has struggled to find his place this year. As a fan it frustrates me because I wanna see a great player be great

Nope , no Cow tipping on ESPN yet . But , there is Dodgeball on occasionally . To go along with Corn Hole Contests . And , we don’t get enough Bobsledding as the old Wide World of Sports use to cover . I wonder if Stephen A .Smith has ever had a query about Dodgeball? Love to hear his answer .

Not addressing the Uconn game rotations and combinations as they were successful but Stanley can play along side Soriano.

Some of you guys really go out of your way to try to blame things on CMA. This post might take the cake. You are complaining about the staff bringing in a top 50 player to play alongside Posh. If word got out that CMA said he wasn't interested in Curbelo because he already had Posh, then you guys would be on here saying he can't recruit and ask why are we turning down top 50 players. And if he brought Curbelo in to just play 10 MPG as Posh back-up you'd be complaining asking why they don't play Curbelo more.

And Posh is being Posh, which is a defense first guard that gets the majority of his points off hustle plays and in transition, he's never been a shooter or a guy able to create his own shot in the half court. His stats are nearly identical to his freshman year stats where he was Freshman of the year and DPOY. So, by your logic he struggled and wasn't able to find his place his freshman year either.

This year's stats : 31.9 MPG / 9.7 PPG / 3.6 RPG / 2.3 SPG / 4.1 APG
Freshman year stats : 31 MPG / 10.9 PPG / 3.4 RPG / 2.6 SPG / 4.3 APG

holy straw man.

Find me a line in my post where I blamed CMA for recruiting Curbelo and adding him to the roster...

I'll help you out... I never said that. What I did say is when they did end up on the court together, the fit was not as good as we would have liked. When that turns out to be the case, the staff either has to work with them to make the fit better, or if it continues not to work, stagger the minutes so they aren't out there together as much.

I am just saying the staff has not really done either.

And also, thank you for cherry picking his freshman year and junior year stats. If we added his sophomore year stats into the equation, and look at the full picture, we would see his numbers have regressed from last year. If you have a 3-4 year college player, the goal is to have his numbers/production consistently ascend as he continues to play more seasons. It has not really gone that way for Posh.

I've watched Posh for 3 years now. If we wanna talk numbers and stats we can. But my eyes tell me he is not as comfortable this year. Sunday I was pleased with how he played and hope it continues. But as of now it has been a weird Posh season.

- I promise I would not be lol. Go through my posts from this entire season. I have been advocating for Curbelo to have a 6th man role since the first game of the season

He can Bamafan, but UConn was picking us up defensively at 3/4 court from what I remember and I think CMA wanted another ball handler in there instead.

Some lineup things here. Posh has had successful lineups with Curbelo, but to yours and many others point, his 3 most successful lineups are without him.

  • “Team Eff Margin: Difference between team offensive and defensive efficiency with the lineup on the floor. A higher value is better.
  • Adj Team Eff Margin: Team Efficiency Margin, adjusted for the quality of opponent players faced by the lineup.”

Also, not to sound like Johnny Rapper but I think its lame that I bring up one thing about Posh/lineup that I disagree with the way CMA and staff has handled a reply insinuates that I am just a hater trying to find different things to blame on CMA.

Shame on me for disagreeing with the way the coach has done one thing.

We can have a discussion/debate about Posh/Curbelo/ the lineups without you doing all that lol

Check my history on this site. Never been a guy to just dump on a coach for no reason. Have never given out that type of energy ever and I have been posting on here since i was 13. Never been me. So keep the generalizations to yourself

I see you’ve conveniently omitted Posh’s fg numbers to fit your narrative. Well done. And why aren’t his numbers from last year relevant? Isn’t it reasonable to expect continued improvement? It doesn’t take a basketball savant to observe that Posh has struggled mightily this year.

Don't try to back peddle. Your whole post was you complaining about them playing together and saying the staff "failed" Posh in "a lot of ways". Those are your words, not mine. Now, it's a long post with you trying to reword everything. I don't know what else you expected when they signed Curbelo, he's going to play and play a lot of minutes and he's going to play with Posh, whether he starts them together or whether one comes of the bench (he's done both). How is that CMA failing Posh in a lot of ways? You've yet to explain that.

And I didn't cherry pick anything, I compared freshman year to this year, because 1. The stats are almost identical and 2. most people consider Posh's freshman year as his best year, as that's the year he was DPOY. Just because he scored more sophomore year doesn't mean it was a better year, it was out of necessity, because outside of Julian there wasn't any other consistent scorers until Wheeler emerged later in the year.

Well Boo, usually in a discussion, if 2 people agree on something you don't need to post that info. If you go back and read, you would see both Jack and I already said Posh wasn't a great shooter on that's on him, it was the one thing we agreed on, so why would I need to post that?

The argument is about did CMA fail Posh by playing him alongside Curbelo. My point was Posh isn't an offensive guy he's a defensive guy, and his minutes and defensive effectiveness hasn't been affected by Curbelo.
