In a nutshell it is fair to say the staff failed Posh by taking so long to realize he and Curbelo didn't mesh in the starting lineup. That said many other coaches would have made the same mistake after signing such a high profile transfer. Same for Deivi. His ball stopping doesn't mesh with they system that is working right now. But it's another example of trying maybe a little too hard and a little too long to get the most out of your top potential new players. I would say who can blame them, but I can see many do.
Just like I see many absolve them. Gotta give credit where credit it due, and lay blame where and when it's warranted. At the end of the day, if we were steamrolling towards an NCAA bid, nothing would matter. But we ain't, so it all matters.

Agree 100%.

You have to stop with these false narratives. Last year it was Wheeler, now this year it's Pinzon and Storr. We have eyes man.... Pinzon can't play from the jump, if he's in street clothes from the jump. He started the first pre-season game and CMA was bragging on his improvement in press conferences, then he got hurt and he's just now getting to 100%.

And we all seen Storr have a good looking shot from the beginning, but his defense was horrible, everybody seen that. And he's still not the best in that department, but he's improved dramatically that's why his minutes have gone up, both him and Pinzon have gotten much better defensively. There's things you can criticize CMA on that's warranted, but developing his players during the season shouldn't be one of them.
Now that I see how many are advocating for Pinzon, I can't help but recall some people killing the young man prior to the season. He is not a Big East player, he can't stay healthy, wasted scholarship, etc. Storr had to earn his time on the floor. His defense has been improving. Do any of y'all realize that prior to the UCONN game, Storr was averaging .8 rebounds a game in 14 minutes.

Making Plays you need to understand that no matter how logical your posts are, some on here will never agree because they have their own agenda.

I see that Panther. And I get baited into arguing with them every time 😂

Also, I love how the narratives seems to always change to keep the blame on CMA for something. So now since Pinzon and Storr have been playing well, the new narrative is Posh has regressed and struggled, and he's let Posh down by bringing in good players to play alongside him 😂 . You can't make this stuff up.

Like if you wanna talk about substitution patterns, scheduling, recruiting, out of time out plays, there's plenty of stuff there to put together valid criticisms about CMA. But, trying to criticize his player development, that's a losing battle and hilarious to watch them try to spin that.

In the Conn game there seemed to be much more of an effort to work the ball to the rim by making cuts to the basket and getting high percentage shots or getting to the foul line. Had they shot their foul shots at a decent percentage they would have won by twenty.
There was definitely less looking for the quick three although three different players took a three with only five or so seconds of the shot clock expired in the last three or four minutes of the game with a double digit lead. They are an athletic bunch but are really lacking in basketball savvy.
If they play to their strengths and leave the three point shooting to Storr and Pinzon they could go on a run.

Posh is a unique talent and has been for his 3 years here . He doesn’t fit a definition of a classic PG but , he does so many other things well , he doesn’t need to be a stand still shooter . He hasn’t been one his entire playing career going back to little kids BB. I don’t see any difference or lessening of his competitive Fire . He knows what he has to do . I think he misses Champ . Team does too. And , Wheeler as well . Worrying about Posh isn’t this team ‘s issues . But , they have played better in Butler and UCOnn game .

Johnny Rapper MIA after the big win.

I really don't think most posters are rooting for CMA and the team to fail; there are always going to be a couple. There was understandably a lot of frustration on the site during the poor play we exhibited for several games in a row and even the most optimistic of us are still cautiously optimistic at this point, with good historical reason to be so.

I am going to be in Denver Friday-Sunday and am plotting and scheming to find a way to be in our hotel between 4:30-6:30 so I can watch the game in between other family obligations. As I said to a friend, never under estimate the creativity of a lifelong diehard Johnnie to watch big games no matter the circumstances lol!

who gets the credit for the wildly crazy development of JOEL, in one season with the Johnnies he went from serviceable big, to all world big with great confidence and leadership and class.
I think the kid worked really hard to get himself in great shape and he deserves the lion's share of the credit. Being in shape seems to have helped all aspects of his game. He is no longer getting cheap reach in fouls which can result from being tired, his increased energy has greatly helped his rebounding and ability to run the court. He has basically remade himself!

I really wish you guys would stop bickering. If we wind up having a successful season, then CMA deserves most of the credit. If we don't, then he deserves most of the blame. It's really pretty simple. Now, can we just see how the season plays out?

Jack you can post all the memes and gifs you want, still doesn't make your how CMA failed Posh essay you wrote make any more sense. 😂
Your reading comprehension skills were not nurtured as you were growing up and as a result you simply can’t be the person to determine whether it made sense or not. Maybe someone can step in on your behalf

I've got a couple degrees and businesses that can verify my reading comprehension is just fine. If you want to compare education level we can go there, but I'd prefer not to go personal here, it's not that serious to me, but obviously I've struck a nerve with you calling out that post, so if you want to continue with personal shots, I'll let you continue that by yourself. If you have a valid basketball take that actually makes sense I'll entertain that. Enjoy the rest of your night ;)
