I was then and remain now of the opinion that there should have been a complete and total moratorium on coaching criticism from the fan base regarding Mullin. He did as well, or better, than any coach we've had since 2001 not named Lavin. Those in our fan base that ever uttered, or will utter, even one negative word about Chris...should be ashamed of themselves and their lack of respect for our hero is abhorrent.
i can't tell if this serious / sarcasm / trolling lol

Hear Clingan likely out, should here officially soon. Article at least hints at it

11 point dogs at Storrs sounds right, actually thought it may have been a bit worse than that for us (more like 12-13).

Checked out The Boneyard and a lot of posters there are pessimistic about this game. This will be tough obviously but it's certainly a winnable game.

While, they look on our board and are like "why are they still talking about Chris Mullin and Posh Alexander?"

We last won a tournament game over 2 decades ago in 2001. Since then Norm went 0 for 6. CFC went 0 for 4. Hollywood went 2 for 5. Our Hero was 1 for 4 and Coach P gets an incomplete. So evaluating Legend against recent hires - he was clearly better than the 2 horrific hires. Might have tied the record of our best hire if given a 5th season - and him against Coach P is tbd. I was a Yankees fan but never saw Ruth play. If he was hired as coach and didn't have great success I would instinctually know that he's above reproach. Criticism of Mullin as a coach from the fanbase is disgraceful. I'm not joking...that's my statement...and I stand by it. I'll feel the same way following the Berry hire.

Ponds final year was not what we all hoped perhaps but he still payed very well. He wasn’t the reason we flamed out.
I think if you look at the facts , not opinions , and in reply to Mullins Revenge and Boo to a lesser extent , there is no way you can honestly say Ponds last year was “ Lackluster .”

He scored 19.7 points per game , 4.1 rebounds , 5.1 Assists , 2.6 Steals .

Hardly lackluster ,

His Freshman and Soph years were not lackluster either . Clearly the best SJU player of the last 20 years . Holds the CA record of 44 points against Marquette .

Muliin , the Coach wasn’t great but , is he deserving of the near abuse heaped upon on him

No! Chris Mullin , the player is the greatest BB in St John’s long history . Period . Not debatable .

It took our President to be Appalled by what was going on during the Anderson years .

All those transfers out . It was a bon fire .

Fr Shanley took CMA out and RP and Macon took out the poor attitudes .

Now , we have a Team that looks competitive in the BE . We hope . By Saturday , 11 pm or so , we will know more .
