I think both guys already have better jobs and will be in line for bigger jobs than NC St. if they bide their time.

I don't see Holtmann leaving especially for NC St. but Butler should ensure they have him locked in financially to make it less compelling if some state school comes with a big number.

I was at great Illinois - NYU game in '62 Holiday Festival at old 49th St. Garden.

Illini had Billy Burwell of Boys High at Center backed up by Skip Thoren with Tal Brody (who later led Israeli BB) in backcourt. Illini won tournament, Barry Kramer of NYU was MVP.

Born in Elmont! Other than that, can't really say much. Might be a good assistant coach candidate somewhere until he rebuilds rep. Great at Adelphi, two good years at LIU.
