Coaching Changes

Per Jeff Goodman

Dartmouth has parted ways with Paul Cormier. Tough, tough job.

Is that the same Cormier who coached Fairfield U? Seems like ages ago.

Jon Rothstein reporting that the new TCU coach is Jamie Dixon. He must read this board. :lol:

Yes, coached Fairfield for 7 years I believe.

Per Eric Bossi re Dixon;

If Dixon wants to succeed at TCU (which hasn’t been easy for anybody), he better get himself a seasoned killer/recruiter in Texas.

I feel like that's said every time a coach is hired at a struggling school

Larry Shyatt is resigning as Wyoming’s coach, a source told @CBSSports. Details coming. (Replaced by his assistant)

Has been a solid AC too & suspect he will find a staff job quickly if he wants it.

Btw, Matt's head must be spinning,not only looking at transfers, but kids who may break commitments at schools losing a coach, like Pitt, etc.

For example, per Zags

PItt has pledges from PG Justice Kithcart and C Corey Manigault

@MatSteinbrink
I've been told that Dixon does not plan on taking any of the assistants. Knight and Williamson will be in high demand.

As stated by others, Rutgers should make a run at Knight for AC slot.

Knight makes just so much sense for RU.

It'll be the most expensive place he's coached by at least triple. Hope he gets a good deal.

According to Hoopdirt.com, Wagner's Bashir Mason, Army's Zach Spiker & Lehigh's Dr. Brett Reed are top candidates for Drexel job.

BREAKING: Stephen F. Austin’s Brad Underwood has agreed to become Oklahoma State’s next head coach, @CBSSports has learned. Story coming.

Per Goodman;

Former Stanford coach Johnny Dawkins is in the mix at Central Florida, sources told ESPN.

Great for him, but too bad for SFA. Hope the replacement keeps up what the team has accomplished.

Thought for sure OSU would go after Marshall. I guess he's staying at Wichita State.

Per Goodman;
UNLV has better facilities than Cincinnati -- but question is whether UNLV will step up and pay Cronin in the 2 million range.

Would love to see Mick dealing with Obekpa, although he has had his share of head cases too.

UNLV making a strong push for Cincinnati’s Mick Cronin. Been told UNLV could pay in the $3 million range, plus no state tax.

I believe he recruited Obekpa very, very hard for Cincinnati. Them and, I believe, Providence were our chief competition.

I believe he was a Cincinnati lean and surprisingly committed to us.

Yeah forgot that. Savino was all over him
