Coaching Carousel

Hmm, interesting. I'm not sure anyone can win at Fordham until that team leaves the A10, but maybe Brown will surprise me (if he takes the job). He's certainly done a great job at Albany.

@NYPost_Brazille

Albany coach Will Brown interviewed for Fordham opening today, per sources.

I don't get all the love for this guy. He has had as many bad seasons as iOS (including back to back losing seasons). I was unimpressed watching them in their league championship. It seems like he is at he right level.

They played a bad game. The guy can coach. He also gets kids from all over to come to Albany.

I wouldn't say all over - it's more like Down Under

Have a feeling things will all happen within a week. Lav will be fired-take up TV job....and Bobby Hurley will get SJU job. You think his Dad will feed us recruits ? Im sure Hurley would get recuits on name alone. It will be interesting. Im not a fan of this but I see it coming....

Solid X&O guy

@GaryParrishCBS: RT @WojYahooNBA: LSU assistant Eric Musselman, a two-time NBA head coach, is in advanced talks to become Nevada’s coach, sources tell Yahoo.

The Chicago area is fertile recruiting ground
If Bobby lands there, DePaul could be competitive in 2-3 years

But the competition for those kids is crazy. DePaul must recruit against the Big Ten schools. No easy task.

Syracuse is the biggest competitor within proximity of SJU for recruits. But now they lost scholarships, and Boeheim's future is muddled as well.

Everyone is a big competitor for NY/NJ recruits. All the big schools focus here which makes St John's task tougher. Look at who is going after Diallo. Look at Briscoe, etc.

Same goes for Chicago, if not more so. Cal has feasted there since he hooked up with WWW. D. Rose, Anthony Davis, Tyler Ulis. Kansas got Cliff Alexander. Duke got Jabari Parker and Jahlil Omafor. Lavin got Phil Greene. I'm sure there are plenty more.

Did you really just put PGIV on that list?

I shouldn't have? I know he went to IMG but he is still from Chicago.

I like Phil, but he sticks out like a sore thumb on that list.

@AdamZagoria: Among those to interview for Fordham are Will Brown, James Jones, Rob Jones & Kevin Baggett, per sources

Same sources that told him Lavin was being let go this afternoon?

Diallo is a top 10 recruit, Briscoe the number one point guard. All the big schools would be on them no matter where they were from.
