While demonstrating complete incompetence, St. John's has provided other colleges with sufficient time to negotiate healthy contract extensions with their sought after coaches.

I'm glad SJU isn't panicking like some people on this board. I hope some of you aren't in management positions. You don't rush into long term decisions.

By all accounts, he did well at Tennessee considering the roster he inherited

Tennessee boosters couldn't wait to get rid of Cuonzo Martin, so they hire a guy they knew there was a chance he would be investigated and now they start over again. Be careful what you wish for I guess.

Yes that's true, but by the look of it you endorse sitting on your hands and doing nothing while people are in limbo. great managerial tactic! I'd amend that thought if I were you

If I thought SJU was sitting on their hands and doing nothing then you would be correct. However, I do not believe that is the case at all. I know I am in the minority but I do not think this hurts recruiting as long as an announcement is made in the next few days.

Honestly, if I was his assistant and he treated me well, I'd tell him to go ahead and make the change. I'll end up getting fired alongside him anyway if he refuses the AD's demand, so one of us may as well stay. No hard feelings and spring for dinner sometime since I'm unemployed.

Hey Paultz. Does SJU retain Chiles to keep recruiting intact, or any other assistants? If Mullin comes on board, that's certainly a possibility, no?
