Recently returned home from the game.
Don't want to hear about the fans. The place was packed and just dying to blow the roof off. It just didn't happen for us.
I noticed our core players looked beat with five minutes to go (especially CO and Dom). Regardless, the seniors and Chris gave all they had.
DLO is truly a great Johnny. I killed him for two years and now think he is one of my all-time favorites.
Regarding Lavin's extension, I am not sure why this is even a rational discussion. When you consider all aspects of the job (including recruiting), no coach in the Big East has been worse over the past 24 months. Perhaps he is tied with Oliver Purnell, who beat Xavier today and has three 3-star recruits signed for next year.
Lavin is also the third highest paid coach in the league (behind Wright and JTIII). From the university's perspective, he represents a terrible return on investment.
Thus, no extension consideration until conclusion of what appears to be a very challenging season. Without a solid scorer to complement D'Lo the prognosis is suspect at best Imo.
