Obekpa...clearly your signifigance to this program has grown tremendously with Gathers joining Baylor. I am tired of the fifty kazillion posts on the thread about spilled milk, so I am reviving your thread to make sure you know we would love to see you helping to electrify MSG next year. Make the next move and committ to SJU and be a part of our future, as this team takes the next steps towards reestablishing itself as a force in college hoops.
Note: Yes I am repeating this in several threads because the fact is you guys have a chance to be the bigs that make this team complete and all of you are keys to our future.

We are in a good position at getting a .500 season with all freshmen and extremely undermanned with a rated 10 SOS. to me that is a very good start for the Lavin era.
Gathers decided to go to the sticks, not shine and not develop his talents, let him ride the bench for a while see how much he is going to like his brother then.
as for Obepka, He is a great player that i think we are in a great position with since Jim Calhoun has taken his leave of absence, and UConn has sanctions coming their way we are one big shot blocker and rebounded away from being a great team.
We have 2x maybe 3x NBA players in this team. Recruiting will come around once we start getting W's and guys start making it to the next level. #in Lavin we trust

And every major recruit SJU ever signed also visited other campuses, including Chris Mullin, who visited Duke and got the full court press from coach K,. Lou Alcindor most likely visited SJU. My guess is that John Wooden didn't lose sleep over it, and neither should you.

We are now playing with the big boys and trying to have a team of talent that rivals Cuse, Connu, UNC etc.
That means you recruit kids who are being recruited by the big boys and not Hofstra, Iona, Manhattan , etc.
