Absolutely great if this comes to pass.
Can't think of the last great defensive center we have had. Really boosts our class on paper.

There was word (amongst the insiders) for awhile that he was Cincy lean. The longer a recruiting situation lingers; the better it is for other schools involved. IMO, it's not in the best interest to give Lavin too much time to put his stamp on a recruit (if you're the opposition).
I've seen Nerlens Noel on the AAU circuit for the past two years, and Obekpa is on par with Noel when it comes to swatting shots. Obekpa seems to have impeccable timing. We would have one of the better (if not the best) shotblocking teams in the conference, if we were to land Obekpa. We're talking about Sanchez, Sampson, Garrett, Pointer and Obekpa. I'm not even including Chandler. Chandler isn't a premier shotblocker, but he seems to be a capable one.
All in all, we would have a very, very formidable frontcourt with Sanchez, Sampson, Chandler and Obekpa. Hopefully, things start to positively fall our way.

I was never high on CO(cause I never thought he'd come here) but now that its imminent bring in the next Mutombo!! At the very least for next year we get a big body down low with length who can rebound and block shots. The upside is the big get here because at UC he would never have materialized as many have said. Here he has a much better chance at improving all around.
CO and GG for one season splitting time at the 5 would be perfect.
GG would be very good if he could rest 15-18 minutes a game while CO would not have the burden of being the man from day 1 and could play very aggressively on D if he will not have to play a 30 plus minute game. I love it and hope the positive rumours are all true.

one question I have is if we indeed get Obekpa does that mean we dont have a ship for Chandler if he qualifies?
