You say that now but would you have said that if GG was first coming in.--- think back a year ago ! Moose in answer to your questioning my skepticism--- for all of the above reasons that I mentioned in the above exchanges.
Honestly I can't make sense of your last post because I think there are parts of Dinkins response to you in the post, so I'm not sure what your words and his words are.

What does GG has to do with Sanchez? One doesn't have anything to do with the other. You continue to go back to GG.

Fair point Allnet, but guess who didn't like GG last year? Marillac. What does Marillac think about Sanchez? Two thumbs up.

I like the comparison to Justin Brownlee someone made earlier. A little different in terms of body (Sachez is probably a solid 2 inches taller), but the impact will probably be similar. Brownlee was our best shotblocker, but my money would be on Sanchez being even better in that category.
The NCAA has already said that he is free to go to any school of his choice, without penalties .In effect, it rescinded his letter of intent with Central Florida. It gave him a free pass there. I think that is a big plus, and a strong indication as to the way it felt about his character.. He may turn out to be a heck of a kid that just got entangled in the wrong environment..
Welcome aboard Andrew !
I agree that Chandler is a risk. If he is approved academically , the character question does come up.

We previously, quite a few days ago, discussed the risk/reward of taking Chandler.
I think the consensus was that we should grab him because his upside is just so high.
I think we have a real shot at him. We had one last year and then it seems that Cent. Florida came from nowhere to pluck him from us. We now know how he got plucked.
I'm sure Steve and crew have weighed all of the above and I would think , they are hoping his grades turn out to be fine, and he picks us.
This is a blurb from the Orlando -Sentinel, last year
.
Turns out, top-50 recruit Michael Chandler won't be playing college basketball in 2011-12 anyway.
Chandler -- a 6-10 center from Indianapolis who committed to Louisville before switching to Xavier before ultimately signing with Central Florida -- has failed to qualify academically and must spend the next school year at a prep school. Chandler has not selected a prep school yet, according to CBS Sports.
And since he never enrolled at Central Florida, the Orlando Sentinel reports that Chandler is free of his letter-of-intent and can sign with any school without penalty once he meets the NCAA's minimum academic requirements next spring.
Meanwhile, the NCAA continues to investigate the recruitment of Chandler, who is one of several basketball and football players linked to Ken Caldwell and Brandon Bender. Caldwell and Bender, in an investigation by The New York Times, are alleged to have committed NCAA violations when mentoring and steering players to certain programs. NCAA officials, in their letter of inquiry to Central Florida, say they hope to wrap up the investigation into Caldwell and Bender by the end of September.
END OF BLURB:
It was his failure to qualify plus his not enrolling that freed him from the commitment, without penalty. The NCAA could have hurt Chandler much more but they didn't..
To the contrary,it gave him permission to go to any school of his choice subject to academic standards being met..
It's position could have been because Chandler cooperated with the investigation or it felt he had many redeeming qualities or a little of both, or other extenuating /mitigating facts..

I'm sorry but It gets old reading that someone's else checkbook is open for mostly every recruit we are going for. Pretty much every school has a blank check except us!!!
