 I was at the Cincy vs Lousiville game and Obekpa was there. We have our hands full with this one.
Hopefully he will chose us.

 

Can you expand? He was on a visit like we knew he'd be. Any idea why our hands are full?

 

I am not sure if it was official visit or him just enjoying the game. I am sure he was more excited to be there @ that game than any of our games when MSG is 1/10th full. Call me crazy but i am sure that plays a factor on decisions.
I hope he will chose SJU but i feel our competitors bring more to the table. If this kid is as good as they say than he should not have a problem starting for any team mentioned above. If Lavin pulls this one off i will give him tremendous credit. If he does not i would not be surprised.

Also, Zagoria confirmed-Huge NCAA Tourney resume win for Cincy over Louisville behind 22 pts from Cashmere Wright. 6-9 shot-blocker Chris Obekpa attended the game.

 

Maybe you're right and he doesn't chose us but we didn't have a problem convincing elite talent to come to St John's last year

IMO there's no way Cincy brings more to the table than SJU does, unless you're talking about cash. Cincy is no NYC, let me tell you. I don't agree that our competitors bring more to the table. Btw, he's not necessarily an automatic starter. He's a very good shotblocker, but has some work to do in a lot of other areas. He's a good recruit but his importance to us is much more obvious because of our lack of big bodies than anything else.

Ur still has visits to make. Someone close to his hs program after the nd game said we should be getting the final official. Hope that is true. Seems like a good kid that is doing a thorough process. No problems with that
