I don’t think we win that game the way we are playing now but it’s not impossible. I say it’s 70/30.Do you really believe that a Xavier team that took UConn into overtime at YConn and lost to Marquette by 2 is a road win? If so, I love your optimism.
Not to take this thread any further off topic (and my bad I started it), but yes after reading some of the great responses in here, it's probably something I should be taking into consideration. It's a whole different dynamic. Many kids are choosing to attend a school based on who gives them the biggest check, they're not choosing the school because they love the school. So essentially they are employees. I'll just have to adjust my own personal expectations of things.Does the fact they're paid professionals affect your thinking?
And we are a winnable game on other teams schedules.St. John’s needs to make a run during upcoming soft stretch of its schedule
“There are eight games between now and Feb. 4th when Marquette visits MSG. Eight very winnable games with five at home. St John’s will be a major favorite in six of them and likely a smaller favorite in the other two as well at Georgetown and Xavier.”

I wouldn’t put Richmond on the court.I wouldn’t have Smith and Richmond on the court at the same time. I would just switch them in and out.
Unless you win the second game. That's probably the worst seed there is. At best one and done.
Actually, it doesn't matter what you would do, or any of us. I, for one don't care. Luckily coach doesn't hate players on his team like some of this board's members do. He has the maturity to understand that players are not perfect and continues to work with each of them to improve. We know you passionately dislike Kadary and if you just wrote "Dido" instead of your daily bashing of him, we would know what you meant.I wouldn’t put Richmond on the court.
I’m going to continue to derail. But serious question, do any of our 1 yr guys attend class? Keeping it real none of them are here for the education. Not to take this thread any further off topic (and my bad I started it), but yes after reading some of the great responses in here, it's probably something I should be taking into consideration. To keep this on topic, we will crush Butler on Saturday.
I think your assumption that it's their choice is wrong. If classes and grades didn't matter, Jamar Watkins would be playing for St John's this year.I’m going to continue to derail. But serious question, do any of our 1 yr guys attend class? Keeping it real none of them are here for the education.
Keep in mind that only Glenn Taylor Jr. and Drissa Traore jumped after last season. Five guys stayed (all of whom have contributed) and the rest ran out of eligibility. Let's see what happens after this season.A couple of fans have posted that they don’t have the connection with this team that they felt with previous teams. Welcome to the world of the transfer portal. Gone are the days of watching players develop year by year and see players play together for a number of years.i
Pitino keeps saying play for the name on the front of the uniform. If nothing is done to curtail the jumping from one team to another the players are going to have a tough time remembering what name is on the jersey and fan interest is going to take a major hit.
I'd play Smith 30+ minutes every game.I wouldn’t have Smith and Richmond on the court at the same time. I would just switch them in and out.
Saturday wont move the needle one bit. Butler sucks.when we win few a games everyone is on the bandwagon ( not just here but my Johnnie friends who read here ) and I'm probably the most mentally unstable of them all. ( that doesn't say much about the rest of my friends ) I say this because Get the F back on the bandwagon we've lost 3 games by less than a redfan tgifriday date tip
Saturday the Tide will turn after 5th degree burn
So many different factors going into a ballplayers decision today. BYU got a kid from up here last month for 7 mil, and the papers said it wasn't even the highest bid.I think your assumption that it's their choice is wrong. Rick seems to hate guys just fine.Actually, it doesn't matter what you would do, or any of us. I, for one don't care. I don't think Rick hates any of the players.Rick seems to hate guys just fine.
"Dido" I guess you're privy to a lot of inside information that the rest of us don't have access to, or you are biased in your thinking. Should we take a poll?Rick seems to hate guys just fine.
