Bronx Bombers 2017 Season Thread

I'm surprised they sent Jordan down, I thought he's atleast be a long man out of the pen, there has been no mention of inning limitation for him this year. He threw 115 innings so far this year, he threw 152 innings last year, so you'd think they'd try to get him up to around 175 this year.

winning 2 of 3 and ending the road trip above 500 would be huge, and they'd have momentum (wiining 4 out of 5) heading into a huge 10 game span (6 vs. Boston and 4 vs. the Mets).

On August 14th we'll have a better idea of where this team is at, the athmosphere is gonna be crazy.

Right now I'd rather have him in Scranton starting than being the eight reliever and last man on a staff of 13 doing basically mop up duty. He will be back if they need another starter this month, or September 1st when the roster expands.

boo - 2 two run "monstrous" homers did yanks in.
all rise looked real bad on those 2 k's.
yankees schedule - 33 with contenders(ouch), 18 with pretenders . 10 with red sox, 7 with rays.

bravo didi, sancez, ty frazier - each with a getty goner & multi hit game
bravo lineup - all but all rise has a hit. bravo bullpen.

This is a young team. They should tighten up some of the celebrations until they win something.

another yankee-red sox game for the ages.
this game is what fans live/die for. please chapman, spare my heart.
i hope its not too late for hicks to be comeback batter of year - homer, double, outfield assist.
* In what could have been viewed as his club's most important game of the season, Aaron Hicks homered to spark a five-run rally and uncorked a terrific throw to help the Yankees stun the Red Sox and snap their eight-game winning streak with a 5-4 victory on Friday evening at Yankee Stadium.

Blanked on two hits going to the eighth, the Yankees' slumbering bats awoke along with the sellout crowd of 46,509, which was quickly whipped into a playoff-level frenzy. Hicks launched an Addison Reed slider over the right-field wall, Didi Gregorius greeted Joe Kelly with a game-tying single and Todd Frazier blooped an RBI hit that gave New York its first lead of the evening.

Been in Wyoming sans wifi
Nice to see Yanks won
Last night
Here's a thought that came to me in the Grand Tetons - an obvious one:
DO NOT PITCH TANAKA during the day or on regular rest - begs for a loss
all the best :)

Yanks just put Tanaka on the 10 day DL.

In addition, Montgomery's start tomorrow night is in jeopardy, after he was hit in the back of the head with a thrown ball, while soft tossing in the OF during BP. Currently undergoing concussion tests.

Good thing Cashman went out and got two starters at the deadline. We need those guys right now (Garcia did a good job keeping us in the game last night, IMO).

Yankees announce that rookie lefty Jordan Montgomery is still in line to start Sunday night after being hit by a fly ball during Red Sox batting practice. Montgomery was seen by Yankees' medical staff and is in uniform today.
