Bronx Bombers 2017 Season Thread

Maybe German comes in after Green? get 4 innings each? Or maybe Warren after Green.

It's good that the other 4 are pitching great.
Last 4 games: 29innings, 3 ERs.

An amazing stat ended tonight in the 8th when Balt got an RBI with runners in scoring position.
Before that teams were 0 - 45 with runners in scoring position.
The longest since 1982

7-3 winning again
Bottom of 5th
4 pitchers used by Giradi
Adam Warren got last out top of 5th
Sanchez hit #10 today
Judge 2 for 2
What a first third of the year !

How about Judge 4-4 3RBIs 2HRs and a double.
344 AVG 21HRs and 47RBIs all leads the AL.

Oh and another 14 runs today. Sanchez, and Castro also hit HRs.
They're on fire.

Am a Met fan, but;

P
Nice to see met fans being gracious - seeing Judge I thought of the amazement surrounding a young Darryl Strawberry!
Season is 37% through
I know we cannot expect Aaron Judge to keep up this pace, because it would be about:
57.6 home runs
126.9 RBIs
If my
Math is correct and that is an "if" lol

No matter your team got to give this young player his due!

Yankees have scored the most runs (353) and have the largest run differential (115) in MLB.

judge & castro each had a touchdown. bullpen held o's to a field goal for 14 to 3 win.
hats off to joe g. 1/3 manager of year. not afraid to use bullpen early & often.
will pull a reliefer out after one batter.
*Aaron Judge's HR Sunday was calculated at 496 feet, the longest HR in MLB since ESPN began tracking in 2009.
*Yankees RF Aaron Judge followed up his 496-foot moonshot with an opposite-field home run during Sunday's 14-3 win vs. the Orioles. The young slugger is now up to 21 long balls for the season.
*Aaron Judge is first Yankee 25 or younger to hit 20 or more HRs before the All Star break since Roger Maris in 1960. Also #20 went 496 feet

I am a Mets fan but I tune into the Yankee games just to watch Judge hit. Everything I have read about him is that he's real humble guy as well unlike the dbags like Harper. Great that he's in NY. I loved the clip from the dugout after the homer where Gregorius put Torreyes on his shoulder so he could high five Judge.

West coast trip-
Tonight-10:07pm
At Angels
Tanaka (5 - 6, 5.65) vs. Meyer (2 - 3, 4.08).

The start of a tough road trip.

It's gonna be a late night for you :)

went to sleep with score 1 to 1. so commenting as a stat freak.
who will finish a distance second to mvp all rise? i will push for didi (4 hits/walk).
didi batting average is 344, slugging % is 513. #2 only had one year with better avg/slug %.
bravo to tanaka. hopefully he is turned around.
bravo to joe g - al mgr of yr - for handling tanaka & bullpen masterfully.
*The Yankees' run differential for the month of June: +61. … They've scored the most runs, allowed the fewest.
*The Yankees have compiled 90 runs this month. The next closest team is averaging almost 2 runs fewer per game.
*Judge now leads the American League in on-base percentage (.450), slugging percentage (.718) and on-base plus slugging (1.168), as Angels outfielder Mike Trout -- who's missed his club's last 13 games with a torn UCL in his left thumb -- no longer qualifies for any of those categories.
Judge's round-tripper was the rookie's Major League-leading 22nd of the season, and his fourth in the last three games.

Who was the last player to win Rookie of the Year and MVP? Fred Lynn?

Fred Lynn and Ichiro Suzuki are the only two players who have been named Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player in the same year, and Fernando Valenzuela is the only player to have won Rookie of the Year and the Cy Young Award in the same year.
