What is going to matter more is how many teams make it past the 1st (not counting the fAke first round) and 2nd round. Getting 6 in doesn't really do much for the league perception if only one team mAkes the sweet 16.
 
As of right now johnnies are playing UCONN in the first match. I love that the BIG East has more teams in then the ACC.

Very true. This is a crucial year. If we get six and five lose in the first round, that is going to be very damaging for our future. I actually think we will see more teams advance this year than the past few years.

It would be great to see three in the Sweet 16 and two in the Elite Eight.

Very true. This is a crucial year. If we get six and five lose in the first round, that is going to be very damaging for our future. I actually think we will see more teams advance this year than the past few years.

Interesting that today's Jerry Palm update makes no mention of the Georgetown - Xavier game and who would need to win to help up our RPI. Not sure who I want to win this game.

Georgia Tech needs to beat Clemson
Wisconsin needs to beat Iowa
Fordham needs to beat Saint Joseph's
Youngstown State needs to beat Valparaiso
Wagner needs to beat Mount St. Mary's
Longwood needs to beat High Point
San Francisco needs to beat Pacific
Monmouth needs to beat St. Peter's
Syracuse needs to beat Duke
Dartmouth needs to beat Pennsylvania

For RPI purposes it doesn't matter. I think I'd rather have GTown win because they are two back with only a few games left...and we have 2/3 after today at home.

I think our RPI will end up fine, but I worry that we have just 1 win vs a top 50 team. Some of these other bubble teams like Oregon, Baylor, WVU etc are going to have multiple top50 wins.


We can rectify that today though! Put any doubts to bed.

If we finish 3rd in the Big East, I don't think RPI and Top 50 wins will matter too much. The league will get more than 3 bids. That's why I worry more about the opponents ahead of us losing than I do about what their rank will be when we play them.

Agree with that. We also have to take care of business on our end
