BRACKETOLOGY, RPI, SOS

Mcdermott gets the Jordan treatment. Uses his off hand so much in the post.

It's crazy the room they let him get with his free hand. The announcers did say he likes to watch video of Wally S. which makes me happy.

The kid on creighton just flopped nba style. They are soft.

Chatmans flop against rysheed might of costed us the game in Omaha. What's funny is they do it more at home cause they know they'll get the calls.

They can certainly score. Up 50-37 on Nova. They just aren't what I think of when I think of Big East basketball.

I just question their future in the big east without McDermott. This team is trash when he isn't on the floor. They'll hang tough, but I expect to sweep them easily next year.

I wonder what the behind the scene reasons were for admitting them over e.g. St. Louis, Dayton...?

I remember people saying the same think about Conneticut

I think Creighton was a good addition. Butler is the team that should not have been taken. It should have been UMass instead

Disagree about Butler, they are a great program. Having a down year but will be much better next year. And I dont think UMASS will work, they seem dedicated to major football

1. I think that Providence would veto any thought of UMass being admitted to the Big East.

2. Fox Sports 1 will be be a major decider in whether the Big East expands, and if so, which schools are included. My guess is that Fox will push for an expansion of the Big East since there appears to be a shortage of televised games.

I read that the Big Ten/ ESPN contract is coming up for renewal (in the next 2 or 3 years?) and that Fox is expected to substantially up the bid over ESPN. If Fox prys the Big Ten away from ESPN then that event would be a pivotal move for Fox and would benefit the Big East schools by attracting everyday viewers to the network.

"Dedicated" to being sucky at football.
There is a ZERO% chance that UMass football will ever get an invite to join a major BCS conference, so that should not be a consideration in evaluating them as a potential member.

Updated RPI and Kenpom out. http://www.rpiforecast.com/live-rpi.html

SJU rises to #34 in the KenPom rankings and to #52 in the RPI. The loser of #49 Baylor and #45 Oklahoma State will notch us ahead one tomorrow and a win against Butler Tuesday will put us int the top 50. Fun times.

Very good to see Nova @ #5 and Creighton rise to #8. Wisconsin is #6 and Syracuse is #3. Other notables are Xavier @41, Providence @ 57, Gtown @ 58, Marquette @76, and Butler @136 (ouch).

Did you miss the last round, when sucky football programs destroyed our conference? Not gonna happen again.

CBS bracketology guy has us in the last 4 out (GTown and Providence are in the field).

Gtown is 15-10, with a lost record in conference. How the hell would they be in right now?

The Michigan St. win was great, but it was a neutral game against an undermanned team. I don't think that win alone puts them in.

When does Lunardi post his latest?

He posted this one an hour ago.
