Big East Tournament: SJU vs. Pitt Game Thread

I am basing my info on the telecast, and what might happen. I think Moe should stay, and I believe Lavin, truthfully. I am just saying, it is possible that every one of these things goes the other way. It is possible Moe stays (I think he will) and it is possible we get a good class, but it is possible we don't. What scares me about Moe is people in his head. Sometimes people only see the money aspect and don't realize the other aspects.

Basing your information on ESPN telecasts is not a good place to start...it sure didn't sound like you think Moe is going to stay.

Tough season, but these kids should keep their heads held high...they dealt with more adversity this year than most do over their entire collegiate career. Onward and upward.

Moe Harkless' last game for St. John's was definitely memorable. He's gone, and judging by the NBA people here, he'll be well received. 

Can't imagine how bad this team will be if Moe decides to leave.

Also not much different.from the last time we played. them Hope.Lav get us players that that can shoot better than 32% .
Way too many blowouts this yr
 
 I just turn my head when GG touches the ball. He cannot play more than ten minutes a game next year. I'd rather start another guard. He's not a basketball player.

Why not Pointer 4 points and 4 fouls?

Why not Greene 0 points, 1 assist, 3 fouls?

Did you watch the game? Both Greene and Pointer play intense defense. Pointer got all his points by HIS creation. Bad game out of both for sure, but at least they are baketball players. Pointer was 4-7. They are also freshman. At least Greene's misses were basketball plays...GG missed open layup after open layup.

GG is NOT a basketball player. He's a weightlifter that can't hit a freakin layup. He cost us this game single-handedly. If we had at least a decent big man, we win! He was 1-11 from the field ALL LAYUPS.

Gonzalo, you are a voice of reason he. God bless our players and they will all be back better and stronger next year.

Hope he is 8th or 9th. player off the bench next yr I said he is Div 2 talent
 
The announcers for this game were terrible.....they spent a lot of time talking about Harkless leaving. At the end of the game as Harkless was walking off the court they said looking at Harkless who may have played his last game for Johnnies......What boneheads. 
 
Kids are spent.

I will say this about Pitt. How in the hell did they go 5-13 in the BE? I mean I know they lost Travon Woodall for part of the season and the Khem Birch thing happened but they are MUCH better then 5-13. Taylor, Robinson, Gibbs, Woodall, etc. Heck Ashton I believe was pre-season POY.

How in the hell did they start 0-7 in the BE with that group of kids?
 
I am going to say this and anyone can say whatever they wan't I dont care. But I for one am going to say thank you to these 6 players for the effort and pride they showed all season. I know some may say that it wasn't there every night and that this year was a failure, but I am going to say it anyway because it is deserved.

So to: Moe Harkless, D'Angelo Harrison, Dom Pointer, Amir Garrett, Phil Greene, God's Gift Achiuwa and yes Mike Dunlap
