Big East Tournament: SJU vs. Pitt Game Thread

Pointer and GG have to stop shooting, and as I am typing GG misses another layup. Same thing that happened in Pitt we let them go on a run to be up 5 at the half. Honestly, I think they are going to pummel us in the 2nd half. I don't understand how the ball is not going through Harkless every possession. Instead we have GG and Pointer taking ill advised shots and GG cant even make a layup.

Pointer is 1-2, so that isn't particularly a problem. But, GG on the other hand is something else. He's 1-8 and has missed a handful of bunnies. It's frustrating to see that game-in and game-out.

Harrison also has to start hitting some shots. It's imperative he and Harkless carry the load the rest of the way.
 
 Im at work, cant watch the game. according to espn, harrison has only 2 fouls, not 3. is that correct? someone in this thread said he has 3.
 
GG is an automatic turnover...disgusting. He misses EVERYTHING.

What game are you watching? He has missed nine layups. He's got nine boards, but what's the point of rebonding if you miss the chippie after? He's missed all three chippies after his offensive boards.

I think Harrison hits a bunch. I'd like to see Harkless take 4-5 threes this half. He really is a very good shooter, but he hasn't shown it. His confidence is on and he's getting space. Pitt simply can't defend him one on one off the dribble.

Ya I just saw Pointer's line, little surprised. I guess the miss was the one that stuck out to me (I thought he missed another). His make was a fast break lay up. My problem with GG is your 5/6 option should never be 1/8, that is wayyy to many possessions lost by someone who is not even close to your go to guy.
 
 this is just like the game against Pitt last week close game at the half and now pitt pulling away in the second half Gibbs sucks against everybody else but always kills us come on SJU make a run
 
 we need to make a run now. wish i could see the game. the yahoo game tracker doesnt cut it
 
Our Freshmen said they would surprise maybe they.meant .Ptit would not beat us by 2o just by 18

The last play they did not defend . if they do not make a run within the next 3 mins we are done until next yr.
 
 It's just not a good matchup. A player who can be a dynamic scorer surrounded by big bodies. No way SJU can equal it.
