They just ran out of gas. They seemed tired most of the night but are just too tough to quit. I think they would have been done earlier except Marquette made them mad in the middle of the second half when Jones got in Carter's face. That was an error on Marquette's part but they survived it. 3 games in 3 days is tough. At least tomorrow the two teams will have both had to do that.

San Diego State on fire, Utah State is a team we might play as a 6 or 7. They look beatable and their best player is a doughy center, and their guards seem slow (or SDSU are fast). I would take that matchup

Last year my son was a student at NC State and I watched a lot of their games. Burns can absolutely play. I do think he is a good matchup for us as he is not a rim protector at all and the correlation between Luis best and worst games have real dependence on that. And I love Ledlum but as an undersized guy who wants to go to the hole it’s to his benefit as well.

Of course, if NC plays well today it won’t matter.
